I don’t think it has anything to do about a game or any other certain subject matter, what’s really doing them in people are getting bored of the YT cringe thirst for views. I do not enjoy watching people who make YT channels just for monetization, plus there are way too many. I spend most of my time pressing the ‘do not recommend this channel’.

To anyone who thinks the streamers aren’t in panic - you’re delusional. They’re making money, sure, but they see the rust. They’re the canary in the coal mine. They’re already noticing the things that would make people quit - which will make anyone quit when they brush up against it.
There’s a variety of QoL features missing that are present in D3. Like previewing the stats an item can get on enchanting.
Most of the gear just sucks - I don’t even pick up most gear anymore. Its not worth salvaging and I have millions of gold… I won’t run out. Yknow that’s bad in a loot game when the loot… just doesn’t excite. I pick up the legos still, but end up salvaging most and extracting only the ones with near perfect, or perfect rolls. Why don’t I have a stash full of them? Becuz their itemization sucks. The only stats that matter are lucky hit, crit dmg and chance, damage reduction (not resist), and cooldown. +skills? Pathetic. Overpower damage? Worthless because you can’t ever raise it above a measly 3% chance so if your niche build doesn’t guarantee them its pointless.
The unique items drop far too infrequently to really matter. When you find one, its cool… build defining. For about 10 paragon levels. Then you’ll need to find it again. This is bad design. At least in D2 a unique item was a fixed level range so it never needed to be found against.
D3 is the forever game. This game doesn’t come close. It needs some rework. Maybe an expansion that will add things. Uncap the paragon level system - let us grind out and fill those nodes. Let us be able to enchant the gear to the stats we want, like D3. Let us experience some power, because if they don’t people will just quit before seasons start and won’t come back.
It is base game. Missing expansions, seasons, battle pass., updates, balancing etc
Dumping 200+ hours into a base Diablo game in a little over a week is ridiculous.
It’s fine to do this if you want to play the game and move onto something else. But anyone who thought a base Diablo game was going to provide months of entertainment whilst pouring 18+ hours a day into it are smoking something.
With the expansions and updates then the game will have more longevity.

D3 was so bad small indie game Path of Exile took over entire genre.
Maybe in your opinion but so far I think the entire game is a joke, you have mediocre combat, events being pointless and boring due to high levels running in and wiping it instantly, half baked character advancement. I could go on and on with the little bit of time I’ve played. This game is at least 10 years behind in almost every aspect. Now end game I can only go off comments but when you create a game with not real endgame well there goes the replayability. All in all I wouldn’t give it a 0 but strong 1 to 2, I mean the cut scenes are nice and it might occupy my time for a few days before I get bored with it and go back to an actual finished game.
At an objective level, makes sense. But when it’s a beloved franchise that only comes out once per decade, if lucky, with no true direct competition or equal in terms of setting, graphics, audio, vibe, aesthetic, etc., then there’s, obviously, going to be some passionate comments by some for “what could have been” or what they feel “should not have done.”

Bruh, one of the most popular ARPG content creators literally got world first HC lvl 100 with his team. Another one of the most popular content creators from D3 got world first HC kill of the most hard version of Diablo pre nerfed. Both of them share the same ideas what is bad about the Diablo 4:
Noone actually says Diablo 4 is bad and “panic” like OP says. The game “has a great potential” but this issues should probably addressed first.
Speak for yourself. My brother and I have been playing Diablo since 1999. We both agreed this is the best one yet and are excited to dump countless hours of fun into it.

Yeah Blizzard completely botched the endgame. What made them think people wanted D3 all over again? That game is dead for a reason. They should have took inspiration from the modern ARPGs on the market not D3.

D3 was played for many years and was still being played up until the point of D4 release.
D4 will have many years of players logging on and enjoying Sanctuary. If you are not one of them, then by all means, go play another game.
D3 has never been close to being dead lol. The only 2 similarities D4 has to D3 is obol farming aka bloodshards and Grim Favor farming aka bounties.

Dead compared to other ARPGs like PoE that basically have created a standard what Season for ARPG means.
