The only time it freezes / hard locks my PC is when I’m diddling with stuff in either the vault, or at a merchant selling things. The blacksmith is safe. Something with the UI is causing it. Guessing someone didn’t close some code.

I join everyone who has the game not working properly. I also suffer every time I open the game interface. I agree with the opinion that the developers absolutely do not care about the situation (for a week, none of the representatives of the developers bothered to give any answer)

THIS FIXED PROBLEM FOR ME.
I rolled back my GPU driver… since that I played about 4 hourse without any problem. May help you to.
Have 3090- 53758 driver works like charm… new version 64something was a problem for me.

works for me too. 1 hour without crushes or 5sec+ freeze. Now its playble on hc 
The game has a “feature” that it freezes when “too many” people are in the area. Avoid crowded areas (open inventory in major towns) during peak hours. I use the same settings and can play long hours without freezing during the day time but having countless freezings during night. Brilliant Blizzard developers use this for load balancing.

Edit - It was worth a try but this didn’t work for me. I also tried an older Nvidia driver and that didn’t work either.
Thank you! It made a huge difference my man. Also, I have the same symptoms as most, opening any interface screen (character, abilities, vendors, and other NPCs like the occultist) causes major freezes or minor stutters. Also disconnecting and or freezing when using the town portal.
Anyhow it’s working much better now, thank you again for your post.

(Not everyone can roll back drivers, sometimes it’s greyed out. I just downloaded the drivers you mentioned and did a fresh install)

Frezying all the time, when I came back, I´m dead. Bliz need more power in theri servers.
Im also noticing my PC is running very hot. Had this machine a couple years & never had overheating issues. Power supply is a few month old. After I let it cool to room temp Im going to try & lower settings.
Freezes seem worst during crowded hours. For me at least…
yup I can confirm heat is one of the culprits. After like 5 NM dungeons it got toasty again. Gonna let it chill a few and try again, Helltides though. Man, PC death. Too many ppl’s inventories are being loaded frying hardware.

I got freezing issues too and it does not recover, and I am forced to close the game via Task Manager. I noticed it occurs when I try and do things at the same time when the game use to rubber band and get stuck (such as riding your mount out of town and as soon as your able to ride fast exiting town, you press the button) only now that they “fixed it”, it completely freezes.
I also have noticed my devise is much hotter playing the game now then to when it was released. I just assumed it was the graphics being updated or fixed.
As Todd Howard said from Bethesda for Starfield "nothing wrong with the game, we just need a pc upgrade lol
Anecdotally at least, this seems like the case for me too.
Lot smoother gameplay experience in the early hours of the morning… I don’t know.
The performance definitely fluctuates, regardless of changing my settings, etc.
Stable freeze when completing side quests when the reward appears
Playing Diablo 4 Class Rogue:
Screen Freeze on different areas, open stash, mounted and resulting on Program not responding.
After a minute or so comes back and i am dead resulting on loosing my CINDERS in helltide.
In that way i can not progress.
I have no problems playing POE, WOW retail, Wow classic, D2R, D3 all those games and more using high resolution settings.
My config:
Intel Core i5-12400F, Acer Predator PO3-640,DDR4-3200/Chip Set Intel B660 (Alder Lake-S PCH),
PC4-25600 DDR4 SDRAM UDIMM 16GiG,
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (GA104-302 LHR) [PC Partner/SAPPHIRE] 8GiG,
Microsoft Windows 11 Home (x64) Build 22621.2428,

All drivers are up to date.
I don’t know if this issues just happens on rogue class ! if so then is something wrong with the rogue class.
Well if not fixed, i can not progress that will result in not playing Diablo 4.
Tbh i don’t expect anything from Blizzard, no one will read this.
