Still the problem is there, and happends every time, it´s imposible to play.
Same problem here… would be nice if you pay attention to whole application/code like you do in case of shop…
This has been bad since Thursday of last week. Freezing, stuttering most times you open your inv/char sheet, teleporting, alt tabbing, nearly anything. Already have cross play turned off and turned off DLSS, didnt make any difference.
Nothing else changed, when will they recognize this issue?
Last night I went old school and popped open my glass case to get some “commando cooling” action going. Seemed to help! No crashes since. I haven’t done any marathon sessions thou. It’s something about going into the Helltides, your computer getting its butt kicked (there’s actually ppl playing now lol), and then when it’s starting to overheat you go & sell to merchants or go to the vault and BAM! The UI takes up a lot of resources so it freezes. That’s my theory.
I will look into this for my card. Thank you for the reply!
Can people please stop posting nonsense like “update drivers”, “cool your pc”. This is a bug in D4 and mostly also server issues, so please posting nonsense tips, thank you. This threads is not about your crap PC crashing.
I understand that 100% I play other games with no issues or anything and yet this game dies every 3 minutes.
Honey, using old GPU driver solved issue for me.
Yeah its Blizzard fault probably or Nvidia, but i don´t care. I care only my game working.
For players like me, they can use this players like you can just cry about it.
hard cap fps in your game and your driver. that stops render 250+fps for no reason
The cooling stuff helped me. No freezes today. Played a lot. I know it SHOULDN’t be overworking hardware like this, but sometimes you can meet them halfway by some stupid trick like this. I’m pretty sure they have been optimizing it behind the scenes too.
Part of the issue is crossplay… if you disable that it will improve, but again… that dumb thing should be disabled by default… i’ve had it disabled before, when they pushed S2 it got reanabled.
Taking control away from the user is terrible.
It will still happen, but much rarer, but when it happens it terrible.
My advice is if you are doing any activity, like Helltide, Helltide v2, Nightmare dungeon, don’t open any of the panels. Paragon board, talents, inventory, blood panel, season journey panel… anything of the sort… it happens to me when I perform those actions mostly,
Also the brilliant if you log out and log in, you loose 50% of your helltide shards or you exit a dungeon and are ported to where you came from… brilliant design, have to say.
i wonder, how can so many people play without these issues? open up twitch please and see for yourself.
if it was server related, wed all suffer equally.
according to some it did help them yea. by now i really assume it has something to do with the graphic cards. i read so often about the latest nvidia GPUs who needed an older driver version by now that i dont think its a coincidence anymore.
personally i use a 2070 Super. except for the rubberbandings early in the season (first 2-3 days, also, not frequent rubberbandings) its super smooth
Im sorry , but i have non of these issues on my end. Perhaps its the newest video card driver for nvidea. Im using 537.42 and i see no freezing up. Occasional server lag, noting new tho. Amd 5600x and rtx 3070 ultra 1440p with dlaa. Sometimes i use dldsr to 4k and still no issue.
It’s totally impossible to play in the evenings, espesially in the blood regions !!! FREZZES AND LAGS !! SOS!!
Tried this with trepidation, and it seemed to fix the computer freezing when I teleported, but didn’t fix the disconnects. I continue to be amazed there’s no Blue post about this, though it’s been a problem since season start.
Thank you for listing this though.
Tried this and so far much better. Thanks
Same here, it´s imposible to play with freezes 5 seconds go back, other 5 sec…
Well I’ll be damned. I put my fps cap to my monitor refresh rate (144) and all freezes went away. I suggest you try this out.
Edit : I also put my shadow quality to low
Disconnects are most likely an internet related issue on your end or a server side issue on theirs. This fix doesnt work for internet related connections. It only for screen freezes and crashes.
That doesnt work, it makes it even worse because I found another bug which just started with S2 patch: If you just play at 60fps and cap fps to to 60 or use vsync in this case which caps it at 60, there is a bug, that the fps randomly drop all the time way below 60 for example 47 or 52 when you port to a new location. This doesnt happen if you let the fps run at higher rates like 120 or 144.
