Game FREEZES and LOCKUPS

Game is constantly freezes, every several minutes I have lockups. Diablo 4 not responding for a several seconds.

AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
16 GB DDR4
Geforce 1650 4GB
SSD NVME

I dropped settings to the lowest but issue Remains !

All these steps are OK:

  1. Make sure your computer meets the Diablo IV System Requirements. Please note: The game will try to run even if the system doesn’t meet our system requirements. This can cause unknown bugs, crashing, or performance issues that may not have a resolution.

  2. Update your drivers and operating system to resolve any compatibility issues.

  3. Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.

  4. Run the repair tool to repair any damaged game files.

  5. Overheating can cause performance issues, game crashes, and full computer lockups. Check for overheating components.

I have the same crap happening and it’s really annoying.

Yeah same, Game was fine before season 2

Now it has lag spikes shuttering and yeah screen locks up as you said

Did you check if your DLSS option is on in graphic menu? Mine was and I put it off now it’s all good

mine is fluid at all times EXCEPT when i teleport, it feels choppy during the teleport frames.
(sorc teleport, druid shred, rogue shadowstep, etc)

it’s def. annoying. i tried every possible setting nothing changes it… its the kind of thing that constantly reminds me im not having a good time and then i end up back on poe :slight_smile:

it didnt bother me much during season1 since i was playing a no teleport necro.

Ironically I had this during launch and S1, now in S2 it’s finally perfectly smooth and fixed for me.

Sorry to hear now you guys are having this issue.

DLSS is OFF and game not responding from time to time. About 1 time in 3 minutes

Turn off cross-play and everyting should be OK!!!
They effed it up with steam and the consoles on this patch.

Yep. It’s happened to me and a buddy several times. The devs f’d something up w/ the S2 patch.

Stuttering from walking, freezes when opening ui screen and ping jumps here too. EU region.

same here - freeze up and dc often after the recent patch.

I have same issue. I noticed it happens when i free roam on the map, specifically when i enter a new zone it starts dropping to 3-5fps and even freeze, the music is still going but the image is frozen. The only thing to do is to stop the process from task manager.

I’ve crashed twice trying to open my inventory, constant freezes, hopefully turning off crossplay fixes this.

Was having that issues, so I turned off crossplay. Running smooth as silk ever since.

Even after patching yesterday, crossplay is still causing issues for some people. FYI - you have to do it at the character select screen. You can’t change this option while playing.

First time it happens, my computer crashed completely

Having the same issue.
Constant stutters, I get stuck in terrain, opening UI freezes my game, lag spikes are crazy and game crashes out of the blue.
