Game crashes, restarting PC

Having crashing issues here as well. Using a RTX 3080. A few crashes to the desktop and then this morning, a hard lock with BSOD. Think I’ll lay off D4 until this gets addressed.

Stopping using the opals for now cause everytime I lose them…and I dont get any reputation since the last ptach. Before it was slow, but it has completely stopped.

My game doesn’t even start. I’ve tried everything repair, reinstall, deleting localprefs.txt. Getting real discouraged.

Vessel of Halting. ™.

And always at the most inopportune time. Typically on long run, every half hour over 1.5h play time increase chance of a crash.

I thought I was in the clear after the update. Crashed to blue screen and computer restarted. This time I wasn’t doing anything specific for the crash.

still nothing from blizz at this issue… come on guys, it is a high priority issue. we cant play the game we purchased. what the heck is going on? Taking money and not deliver a functional product over 2 years!
We have bought a early access game in beta/alpha status for full price. DO SOMETHING!

This is happening to everyone, even online streamers. You can play casually and before you know it, the game either crashes or the client disconnects you from the server. Everyone is waiting for them to fix it, and it’s probably not an easy fix over night for them. Hopefully it’s fixed soon BLIZZARD! :stuck_out_tongue:

This has been happening to me constantly. Sometimes the game just crashes/closes when I reach character selection, and a couple of time I get into the game for a few seconds and it says “Reconnecting to Diablo 4” on the top and then crashes anyway.

No BSOD for me but constant crashing, don’t own DLC.
Tbh, technical issues are a thing and I have understandings for that… what I don’t like however is that all buffs are LOST on crash. What a TERRIBLE system.

This is the most expensive beta test I have ever played. Just hope this mess gets out of early access soon.

I’m fine with technical issues as long as they’re being acknowledged, but that’s not happening here. Instead we’re getting another cold shoulder where they ignore and hope the problem just goes away, or they fix it in the backend and don’t update the player base that it was actually fixed.

I am on count 15+ … same as reported here twice before and 14 times via the tool.

Hell, pls! Fix this or at least gvive us some status / acknowledgement you are working on this … it’s getting annyoing as hell to crash out of content, only to get set back to town everytime again…

Same as most other people’s symptom here. Cut scenes seem to trigger them more often, but in general it’s fairly random. 3080ti, win11. Either get BSODs or game freeze then crashes eventually (or sometimes freezes entire machine and have to reboot). Drivers are all updated and ripped out and reinstalled. This is the only game this happens with so it isn’t an issue with the GPU or the drivers. I can easily play Path of Exile or Fortnite without any of these problems.

For such an amazing company when it comes to actual quality, this is a bit surprising to have. WIth automation of testing shouldn’t these scenarios not really happen anymore? Most of the people who have reported here have same or similar gpu’s too so it’s not like any of these gpu’s are commonly used in the market for gamers…
