Same problem as anyone, game crashing and restarting my pc. First BSOD ever on my 7 year old pc… Dump file analysis points to nvlddmkm.sys. My nvidia drivers are up to date of course (565.90).

Yup. Exact same issue here. 565.90. BSOD and a reboot. 4080 super and a 14900kf. DLSS is set to balanced and RTX options are all off.

Welp forget what I said. I went a good three hours without having to worry about a crash and crashed mid campaign quest, which means quest will probably reset and I’m not wild about having to start it over again.

Same. bsod then forced reboot. Latest driver installed. Rolled back, same thing.
Haven’t found any real fix. reddits got mostly unverified garbage info, as usual.
All the crashes have happened during new dlc quests. Tried some helltides, world bosses, grim favors, realmwalker without issue. Tried making a toaster strudel and microwaving a burrito, no fix.

Adding a comment here for visibility as well because I’m having the same issues. Not sure if they’ll be more inclined to see this thread or the few in general discussion, but more visibility is better than none.

I wonder if dev noticed this already. Yesterday I thought it’s my problem and made the post. I then thought it’s random case.
I however saw an increasing number of ppl having the issue today… not just in this forum but also in my community.

had much better luck turning off dlss , rtx, and just using FSR2. Problem still seems to be when the gpu runs out of fvram it goes crashy

Reported this via “Fenris” Window 6 times now. Yesterday, today. Total at 9 crashes.
It happenes random, everywhere, anytime, after any time played.
It jues goes black screen for 1 sec, than back to desktop. “Fenris” - Window.

All RTX / Raytracing options are set to off.
Newest drivers (especially Nvidia) are installed.

Had 3 Fenris Error crashes. Everything is updated ( BIOS, drivers…). Running this game on a nearly brand new build ( 1 week old system).

*Re-Installed the full game 30 mins before ; still crashed.

Blizz, you damn incapable baboons what on earth is this?
In 6 hours of play i had:
8 blue screen of death
3 errors where something corrupt was found and a repair was suggested
1 error about memory not being enough and retuned my graphics settings in a 16gb VRAM gpu and 32gigs RAM.
For the love of god you have been developing this game for so many years and its been live for i dont know how long. How are we still struggling with micro stutters and memory issues? Instead of these things being ironed out they just keep getting worse? Seriously? 1Billion in the making and we still cant offer resources to fix this party?
And just to add to the ones trying to figure out the issue. It seems to be related to ultra textures. When you turn them to high crashes almost disappear. But then armors look like diablo3. In high. So i offer the game 48gigs of available memory to work with and it cant even do that? God this is infuriating. Probably a leak or terrible memory usage thata the already existing high usage of ultra textures make the memory pop off and crash your machine.
update: in an hour today i got another 3 BSOD. At this point i am about to give up playing this game. You should not be allowed to drop the ball this hard and get away with it each time.

EDIT: FIXED!
Managed to fix mine after reading comments further down about the windows pagefile. I went back to Nvidia driver 561.09 and I set my page file to 24576MB (initial & max) and it seems to have stopped the crash/restart issue.
No idea why I had to do this when it has worked perfectly fine for the last year until a patch 2 days ago. I also had a windows update the same day.
I have 16GB RAM and 8GB VRAM.

Game causing PC crash and restart since the last patch. Have been enjoying the spiritborn for 2 days without issue until now. Seems to be caused by the memory hitting max even on character select.

Nuh they just Fd something up and we got no CM or blue post at least acknowledging something to let us know where we stand. This is the most annoying thing of this situation. The ignorant silence.
