So in your case you aren’t disconnecting from the network at all just the diablo4 servers, that’s more likley an issue at the blizzard server end.
This thread is actually discussing many different issues.

This thread is actually discussing many different issues.
I agree the thread has multiple issues. But the same underlying problem. But given the emergency server maintenance its safe to say its on blizzards end.
Rather than getting angry with me, what is the exact nature of your issue because people on this thread seem to be discussing totally different things.
If your router is disconnecting from your ISP that could be an issue with your ISP or your line some sort of intermittent fault they have going on at the moment and because your playing a lot of diablo at the moment it’s coinciding with you playing.
Two things can happen at the same time without a causal relationship.
Or Diablo4 traffic might be triggering a fault in your routers software or conflicting with some settings on your router.
The purpose of telling you I’d had no such issues was to convey that it’s not a universal issue.
If I was you I’d check my router logs and talk to my ISP.
If its you network connection failing at the PC end instead I’d check my windows event logs and that my network card drivers where up to date.
If however like someone else here your machine is still on the network just fine and able to connect to other internet services that’s most likely an issue with blizzard’s servers.
Just trying to help you track the issue down, please feel free to ignore me if you want to though no skin of my nose.
I guess it doesn’t help when you start out with its working for me its its your problem. Like i said Diablo 4 is under emergency server maintenance right now so for at least some of us it obviously wasnt our problem.
that might be the problem. Zyxel makes some exceptionally garbage products.
Sigh please read my other post that’s wasn’t why I posted that at all. But assuming it’s the client application software with something like a router crash and not investigating your end is not likely to progress you towards solving the problem anytime soon.
But I can tell your all feeling frustrated and don’t want to hear that in some cases on this thread the game client may or servers may not be the underlying cause.
So in view of that and the rising level of hostility I’m off.
Good luck with your issue.
Please don’t be scared off by the more unhinged contributors to this thread. I don’t think you were being rude at all in your responses.
Here’s what I can say about my situation: My ISP locks me out of advanced settings for both my router and my modem (I rent the equipment from the company), so I can’t perform the checks (logs, firmware, etc.) you suggest. ISP customer support tells me that my modem has been experiencing “signal loss” that coincides with my home network crashing. According to the ISP, there is no technical issue with my router. Replacing the modem with an identical ISP-issued model does nothing to resolve the problem. I’m not in a position to get a different kind of modem OR router from my ISP. This was told to me.
I can say with complete confidence that this problem only occurs when I play Diablo IV. It does not happen when I play any other game (including Diablo III). It also doesn’t occur when I use my internet for other purposes. It has also occurred when my ISP isn’t reporting any outages or other problems with their network at large. I have been experiencing this home network crash since the launch of the game, including during periods of normal server activity.
I understand that you might be skeptical about this, but let me refer you to the following:
Multiple people are reporting this issue, and it seems that multiple models of routers and/or modems are at play here. If you look closely at the reports, there is a remarkable degree of uniformity in how people are describing their experiences.
I’m also getting this issue. I thought my router was dying, so I bought a new one of the same model (Asus RT-AC3100). Same model, same thing happening; randomly my network connection will just randomly die.
I get massive latency to the main PC while my other one is completely fine. I have to disable my NIC on my main PC and then re-enable it to get the ping to come down from spikes of up to 2k back down to 1MS to my router
Not sure what’s causing it, but it’s definitely game breaking when I’m in the middle of something. I hadn’t seen a thing wrong until I started playing D4. I’m fairly well versed with troubleshooting as I work in IT, but it’s pretty odd.
Hardly crazy, as a Blizzard game veteran, games crashing your modem or router isn’t something unheard of, lol.
I have replaced my modem and router. Had 2 techs out to my house to check lines and all. I’m still having this issue of Diablo 4 killing my network. Only it. Never been an issue before.
Most likely it is some router setting that doesn’t get on with the games traffic. Difficult to diagnose further if you ISP lock you out of the router unfortunately.
The problem if when ISP locks down the router you can’t check or adjust settings or see the event log making it hard to investigate an issue like this.
Most likley it’s a combination of the games traffic pattern with some setting or settings on the router.
Or indeed a particular firmware level on the router.
Problem is can Blizzard recreate this issue with no information about what’s going on in your routers.
Has anyone from blizzard commented on this thread yet. Be interesting to understand how many players are having this issue.
Has everyone with this issue raised a support ticket?
But isn’t the issue them more likely your NIC or the driver for it? Rather than your router because in your case the PC is disconnecting but the router isn’t crashing.
Can you see the settings and logs on your router by the way.
Anything in your windows event logs about the network stack?
First time im experiencing the same issue since yesterday…The game is killing my network and i dont know if its only me but that happens in some specific dungeons when i run sigils (i dont know if someone experience the same)
Weirdly enough I had this same error on Lost Ark, the game was fine the first few days and then the issue started for a few weeks then went away. Really sucks that it crashes my whole router, hell I got a new one and it does the same thing. This only happens during prime time, during early mornings there isn’t a disconnect issue.
Hi everyone. This is a very strange issue.
Everybody talking about your modems and how to config them but nobody talking about how to limit internet bandwidth of your device (in this case your windows PC).
I hope this could help.
First the NVME drives are too fast for Diablo IV to handle, now the modems are too unrestricted to run the game traffic.
I run all TP link hardware, and a multi-layered network with 3 buildings connected via wireless bridges. Surprisingly, the game plays very well on remotely bridged hardware behind 3 different routers on a high speed Satellite service.
Right now, the only issues we are having are with the logins and random disconnects (usually when everyone is seeing it). But no interruptions in our network connectivity.
Right now I’m visiting family in Ottawa Canada, using their cable internet. 300MB/30MB, and has been solid so far playing Diablo IV.
Problem still there fix it no other Game makes this Problem
you trolling us ? Nobody uses win 7
I have the same issue but instead of crashing my modem, it only crashes my PC’s connection, every other device using the modem works fine. My PC’s internet(connected via cable) shuts off for a few seconds then starts up again. This only happens since the latest patch. I am assuming it crashes my network adapter or something. I have a b460m Pro4 motherboard, if that matters.
