Same here. At least I made it to level 25 I guess.
Let’s just hope Bliz comes up with a fix soon. It’s hard to think it’s just an account issue when it is affecting so many ppl.
Got the same error. Updated my drivers, scanned and repaired the game, reboot the PC, still have the error. At least I made it to lvl 25, but damn

Also tried everything. Nothing is working. Blizzard at least have the decency to respond and let us know your investigating. It is clearly a service side issue.

Repaired. rebooted, most recent “diablo ready drivers”

I am also running into the same issues on PC. Played the closed beta weekend without issue, Friday/Saturday of the open beta, no issues but then this morning i get the code 3970000 - no matter what.
Went through the standard procedures: run as admin, updates, restarts, scans of hardware & software, etc. Nothing working for me - very disappointing.

I was able to play for many hours yesterday and now have this same issue. I’ve been troubleshooting for about 2 hours and have tried:
- Checking for Updates (nothing found)
- Scan/Repair (nothing to repair)
- Complete re-install
- Updating my GPU drivers to latest version
- Changing PhysX setting to GPU in Nvidia Control Panel
Additionally, I rebooted my PC after each of these steps and have tried them multiple times.

same error. Ive tried every fix I can find online and nothing. Its like an update is missing for me but not for my friends who are playing no problem.

I wonder if it’s related to people who played the beta last weekend, I am the only one unable to get in from my friends and also the only one who played the beta last weekend.
