I’ll send you a request here in a bit.
Got a new 2H bludgeon and my flat damage went from 20-25k to 28.5-36.8k. Up to 380 crit damage now too.
About to run some dungeons and see where my crits jump to. I was seeing 445k-ish prior to this change. Just a few paragon from getting some vulnerable damage and another glyph (Wrath or Ambidextrous) too. Fat upgrade! I’m excited about that flat damage increase. Strength is just under 1k.
Nice! Got a bit busy at work and might be busy as well tomorrow.
I’d love to help out in some testing as well. Might be able to do it this weekend. Any specific aspect you recommend?
I forgot what glyph it was but I think seething might be good as well. Not too sure if it was an additive or multiplicative damage though.
I knew that glyph would be a good addition. I’ll check on a board on where seething can be placed. Looks like a promising addition as well.
I just swapped into the Ground Stomp quake on one of my 1H swords. It’s 15% multiplicative, helps stack disobedience quickly, deals a little damage, and helps reduce Ult cooldown. Seems worth it.
My Double Swing build is a bit different than most of these other guys, so I’m not sure if my aspects will translate well for you. Still need an umbral above 1 too.
I was actually thinking of getting it as well tbh. I think with dswing we can probably run just 1 shout? Warcry probably. 2 more utility skills and wotb. What do you think?
Might go for
War cry
Leap
GS
WoTB
1 point in Though as nails is very good to stack disobedience, if you have spare points for it.
I use:
- Ground Stomp
- Steel Grasp
- Death Blow
- Lunging
- WotB
- Double Swing
I use tough as Nails for fury gen with Umbral.
Good for you man playing what you like. Don’t worry about meta pushing at 50 nms. See how far you can take it. I’ve got a thorns barb that i’m working on and hes in nightmare 60’s right now. My WW barb is for meta pushing but i’m having so much fun on thorns right now.
50s are fairly easy at level 81. Still got some levels, gear, and paragon to get.
Very similar to the build I’m trying with my low level barb alt. I’ve been using Leap instead of death blow. Lacks damage, but fury generation is quick and I have a get out of jail free card.
I hate steel grasp, too. I use it. And it works, but I’d rather kick someone’s soul into the burning hells. But it’s hard for me to figure out where to fit that in.
I’ve kind of settled on the fact I need to replace Leap with either Kick or Death Blow. But I’d like to replace steel grasps because I absolutely abhor that skill.
I love it. It pulls more consistently since patch too.
I am ABSOLUTELY in love with my berserk dual wield barb. If it scales well I think it’ll be the next meta (currently still leveling).
Frenzy, Double Swing, Wrath, Steel Grasp are all Must Haves IMO.
Steel Grasp - I am running Ancient’s Oath atm so it’s possible that when I eventually drop it for better weapon perks I’ll change my mind on steel grasp, but it’s a way to trigger berserk on a short cooldown, and many of my fights start and end in all about about 0.5 seconds with me steel grasping the entire pack and double swinging them down in a couple hits (usually one of them gets stunned on the grasp so frenzy is not an issue). This even works in some elite packs depending on how much burst damage they do.
I think aside from that, you need 1 more unstoppable, which means you’re stuck choosing between Rallying Cry, Charge, or Iron Skin (burning an aspect to take iron skin though). I’m running Rallying cry, but I might try Iron skin depending on which aspects I end up taking.
I am running kick as well for the extra stuns and vulnerable… it’s pretty great for longer fights to apply 4 seconds of vulnerable when the other sources can’t cover it… it also pushes up the stagger on bosses, which is nice because this spec completely destroys against a staggered boss. Just pop wrath and double strike back to back with double strike doubling the crit bonus potentially hitting 150%[x] Berserking damage bonus or higher within that 5 second window. I can’t wait to hit 100 and give Lilith a shot (got a 100 druid, still working on the barb).
Hey, guys, will update the OP with this, recorded a nm64 run with the build to showcase it.
Will update as Im able to push further up.
The video :
Nice solid crits.
You think it’d be worth it to get more fury and have a ramaldani or just stick with default fury with ramaladni?
Saw my first 1M+'s today after I swapped Disembowel for Revenge 8%[x] and got Ambidextrous for another 8%[x].
Only 352 crit and 209 vulnerable. 1k+ strength.
Oh wow, that’s really good! I didn’t realize just how big of a dmg increase the shout was, as I’ve been purposely never using them. My biggest crit so far is 750k without them at the same level and using walking arsenal . I’m currently working on the paragon nodes to get increased fury for the sword that does more dmg with more fury and that’ll give me an extra 40ish fury. I’m also trying to find items with more vulnerability and crit - I’m sitting at 186% vuln and around 250% crit but I’ve been unlucky. Also, if I could find the unique sword with max roll it’d be awesome, but mine only gives .2% per fury instead of .3.
I’m glad you showed a vid with the boss fight because it gives me an idea how it’d be using your build vs lilith which is my ultimate goal.
Hard to say, its what I want to try as well.
Im hoping for a drop but might not happen. Youre dropping a potential good smount of core skill/crit dmg/vuln dmg for it, but maybe the math behind works differently idk.
Im thinking double maces as an ideal setup for max stun and stun buildup.
Ill also give the cleaver glyph a try.
All in all im pretty happy, love the dual wielding build.
And chains are really really nice, I dont think im going back to wotb lol.
@Frankus yeah trip shout is really really good. Keep in mind im using unbridled rage too.
Arsenal doesnt seem great for dbl swing as you want to try to spam it as much as possible.
HOTA still have faster clear speed.
