game randomly crashes to desktop while doing activity or running to quest.
It says you have it marked private. You may need to mark it as unlisted, so it isn’t public, if that was your intention.
oh my bad, i made it open now for public
No worries.

This is where it crashed, it was right after a teleport it looks like.
Couple of things I noticed:
- You look to have plenty of memory at 32Gb, decent processor, Gen 9 - i7, you are running a 2080 Super 8GB.
- Game is installed on a SATA based SSD that’s 3/4’s full.
- You do have Direct Storage disabled, running a 1440p monitor for the game, but you do run dual monitors.
- Steel series headset?
- Looks like it disabled DLSS or you have limited options, not using Ray Tracing.
- Using video driver 566.30. ← Potential issue here.
- Your system is trying to allocate an automatic page file of around 2GB. Which is not enough as well.
So here are some suggestions, you can choose to use these or not.
First off, video driver. You should really consider dropping back to version 561.09. The 566.xx versions have been causing issues with the game right now.
You can try a roll back, or uninstalling the current one and installing the older one, or using the DDU tool to assist (best success with this option) but follow their directions!
You can find links here:

I would install the earlier driver without the geforce experience app.
I would set an FPS cap of no more than 100FPS. But maybe start at 60FPS and work up once it you get it stable.
Swap file. This needs to be set to a fixed size. I would recommend a 16GB (16384) as a size for both the Min and Max options. You can find instructions here:

Let me know if you have questions.
alright, thanks alot for your detailed help, i have dlss, should i enable it? i capped fps at 60, i think 60 for diablo sshould be more than enough?
This does help with performance yes. But lately in some cases, it can cause the game to act up.
I would first make sure you are running on the 561.09, then use DLSS with that driver.
So is blizz going to refund all the lost seething opals, gotta be up to 10-15 by now thanks to these crashes.
Probably not individually. Not that they couldn’t do a community buff for materials later on or something though.
