The crashing is insane. I’m getting it all the time and seemingly increasing frequency. Please do something this is nuts and is approaching unplayable.
I switched my resolution scaling to none and the crashes happen far less now.
Go into System settings
Graphics
Turn off game mode or whatever it’s called under advanced graphic settings
This fixed it for me
I believe this is the issue as well!
I was crashing every 2 hours until yesterday when I turned off DLSS + nvidia reflex, everything went back to normal and haven’t crashed since.
Hotfix 4: Still crashing within the hour. (Made it 30 mins once, then less than 5 minute CTD. Have DLSS + Reflex off, graphics setting to low, and a very powerful rig.

I tried this fix: Diablo IV has run out of memory - #103 by DTMAce-1687
I think it made it worse
Ive had one game unresponsive crash, but most times it gets stuck on loading. Then only loads the ui. Only option left is to exit game then restart.
@here I hope this post can help someone.
I was able to fix my “High-End” PC crashing issue with D4. TLDR; My fancy motherboard (Asus ROG z790) had a default overclocking profile that tweaks my clock speeds based on temp, performance need, etc on demand. This variable dynamic clock speed multiplier seems to be screwing with some video games. I simply switched to the “Intel” based profile in my bios (as I have an i9) to which seems to be a more static clock speed multiplier profile. I’m sure there are people in here that are smarter than me that can nail down exactly the settings, but it seems to be 100% related to variable/dynamic CPU/MB clock speeds.
Well, more likely the problem isn’t being caused by memory then.
There are SO many things it could be. And I know the suggestions may not help some of you. It happens.
This is very important, especially for those with 13th and 14th gen intel since they have the potential to fail. But if your CPU has already been damaged due to this potential failure, or lack of BIOS update and using the Intel defaults, you may actually have a bad CPU on your hands.
still crashing here just keep sending reports… honestly it wouldnt annoy me so much if the seasonal rep didnt require a potion that i loose each time i crash… and then have to go and get it again before i can start earning rep…
I left the Reflex on.
What I turned off was Resolution Scaling (I said Frame Gen up top but this was the setting I meant where you actually pick DLSS or FSR, and the RT at the very bottom, just all the way off- to the left) Frame Gen is only for 40series cards and I would go ahead and turn that off if you have one. I have a 3090ti.
Unless you are struggling to get a playable FPS without the resolution scaling you should not need to use it.
I have not seen the Fenris since then…but if I do the Reflex Low Latency setting is next.
China has a lot of copying equipment, copying materials. Very horrible
And another:

I’m dealing with AMD so it’s not an intel issue.
Yeah I got another Fenris error, but I was getting something from the kitchen so was AFK when it happened.
If you have a 7800X3D and 7900XTX with the AMD Adrenalin software and the performance metrics is enabled (the one that show FPS metrics), when you transition to any area, my Virtual Mem will suddenly grow from 50GB to 70GB up to 100GB. That’s when the game will crash and possibly force my pc to restart.
To resolve this issue, after restarting, I disabled the performance metrics from the AMD Adrenalin panel.
Assuming the issue is some sort of VRAM bloat, how do intel systems stop it? Issue is obviously on D4 side (should never be using that much vmem to begin with). When you disabled, how often are you crashing now?
So, I played for about 6 hours yesterday and not a single issue. I am running an AMD system.
All temps were nice and cool no crashing. So the issues seem to be limited to certain systems.
Perhaps some kind of bug with with shared Vram?
That is what i run again no issues. But i do not use anything other than MSI Afterburner.
I also do not over clock my hardware i just fine tune it for performance. And my graphics card is a Nvidia 4070 super (Asus) Tforce ram 5600. I have no bottle necks in my system.
Same here, game randomly crashig every few hours, not just me but others i know too so most likely the game issue and not on our side i would assume. Hopefully blizzard can fix soon.
huge issue, not isolated.
