Char XP after level 100

Ah yes, more power creep the game absolutely does not need. I really wish the D3 players who just want to see D4 copy everything from D3 would just go back to D3 if they love it so much…

You all cried and complained leveling was a “slog” and “too slow” so now that Blizzard has trivialized that, you all complain about reaching 100 too fast with nothing to do?

It’s there so “pEoPle cAn FeEl PoWeRfuLL”. Like the game is not enough of a cakewalk.

In fact, the game is so busted, they had to release this stupid seasonal item for helltide monsters to last more than a split second(they still don’t). Plus, the density is so comically over the top you literally can’t take a moment to look at the stupid map. And these guys want to sell you an expansion :joy: :joy:

That could easily be solved with a overlay map.

There are many options here to channel XP progress at 100 into something else.

Some fast ideas:

Empowerment Levels = Empowerment levels gives players purpose at LV 100!

XP spread across all your glyphs at some sort of highly reduced rate such as 1 to 100 or 1000.

XP fills up whispers slowly.

XP past 100 earns you a new currency called Paragon Shards. These can be spent at a new Paragon vendor. Earning just 1 will take some time.

1 - Random legendary item with 10% chance for max aspect
2 - Character respect
5 - Random unique item
10 - Boss mats cache
10 - Gold cache
25 - Creates a Temper Hammer. Temper hammers reset an item with 0 / 5 tempers to 2 + 1 per greater affix tempers so an item with 3 greater affix goes to 5 / 5.
The next time you temper hammer this same item it costs 2 hammers then 3 hammers ect.
25 - Creates a masterwork hammer. This downgrades your masterwork 1 set so a 12/12 item goes back to how it was at 8/12.
The next time you masterwork hammer this same item it costs 2 hammers then 3 hammers ect.
30 - Pit mats cache
50 - Casino ticket. Entrance to casino area for a season.
100 - Resplendent shard

i feel like it’s completly opposite that.
with levelscaling you never feel powerful, because enemies scale with you.
(you also never feel weak since blizzard set the basepower of player higher than monsters)
it’s literally the same feeling from level one to WT4, when you can play nightmare dungeons or pits that are a higher level.

nobody wanted D3 and for them to do this, they added this crappy mechanic to the game because they didn’t want to add more unique items to the game and make the unique items powerful instead of useless. They had no idea what they were doing so they decided to just add greater rifts to the game and call it a day. We’re basically playing D3 with better graphics at this point.

Bring on the Paragon levels. Endgame at 100 is super boring.

In Diablo 3 you continue with paragon levels.

I will say that even that starts to get harder to see gains. Somewhere around 2000-2500 you have to do a lot to see a gain of 1 level or be super geared to do very hard content. For most players, they won’t hit that high in a season, so it is fine.

I wish we had something like that in D4.

I also wish glyphs that go across classes were account bound so we wouldn’t have to level the same one more than once a season - like D3 gems were not character bound but account bound.

No more power…We can have more gold, yes.More chance of finding 3 GA items. And if we can choose even better.A point to increase my chance of finding a boot?Yes, thank you.I think it’s also cool that this progression is infinite to see how far we will go. Ex season 5 I reached level 67 in season 6 I played but I reached 75. Etc. Note: Keep the explosion of power from leveling up, it is wonderful.

I agree with you and the OP. The Blizzard D4 Team should find a meaningful way for us to continue enjoying the game journey after we reach max level 100, otherwise what’s the point in repetitive, boring, grindy game play that has no real end game or nothing fun to do after level 100?

I hope Blizzard does something about this by the time the new expansion comes out. Maybe Blizzard can have mini epic stories and special event side quests in D4 while we are leveling and after we reach level 100. That would be very cool. And, from completing the mini-story or bonus questlines players can get unique rewards, cosmetics, mounts etc. and compete in leader board arenas or Pit etc… This is very doable, and Blizzard can add something like this to the game to make it more fun and worth while for players that reach level 100.

The bottom line is: Blizzard needs to make things much more fun and rewarding for every season, and during and after we reach level 100 for sure, especially since the game has been out for more than a year now! This is way overdue for Diablo IV, big time! Let’s hope it happens. - JJ -

Yes having 500% crit on your weapon vs the standard 150% matters a lot. Are you new to diablo scaling?

There’s plenty to do, maybe it’s just you don’t enjoy that and diablo isn’t for you? Same end game as D3 but more, you grind for better gear and perfect rolls to push higher content. If you’re expecting a full scale MMORPG then go play WoW.

Every proper rpg has a lvl cap and works fine. If you feel like you’re done with D4 you can always go back to D3 or Immortal. I for one felt a relief that I no longer have to enter and move around this oversized paragon board. I miss attribute and skill tree system from D2.

This. I swear D3 fans never played a good rpg. They want op sets and colorful graphics back. I’m surprised they’re so loud about it when clearly most of the world think D3 and Immortal are awful games. I remember some people on D3 forum even wanted that they remove entire leveling process. Thank Lord we don’t have paid level boosts yet. Like D3 wasn’t stripped enough of rpg feeling.

For what? Jumping from GR20 to GR60 while fighting the exact same mobs, the exact same way you were fighting them before? :joy: GR lvls are arbitrary.

Yes, the entire point of Diablo for over 10 years now. If you don’t like the game don’t play? You’re complaining about grinding dungeons in a dungeon grinding game lol…

You’re describing D3. Even D4 didn’t have this playstyle on launch and Blizzard said many times before release it’s not going to happen in this game.

So, yeah. If you like WoW mechanics, go play that then?

XP after 100 should get you something. Maybe a whispers cache each time you would’ve levelled?

Nothing in this is like WoW? What are you on about lmao.

It’s literally D3 but open world and pits instead of grifts. You’re the one on here complaining about the game. Go play something else stop crying on the forums. No one cares if you quit.

I stand by what I wrote. If you don’t like it go move on, Troll. And you say there’s plenty to do in D4? Really!? That’s news! Lol! - I been playing since before launch day and it’s still very repetitive, boring, buggy and grindy, and still in beta. Not to mention, there is NO real end game in D4, yet! As for the gear, it is not good at all. Gear needs to improve big time, as well as a laundry list of other things in D4.

However, Diablo IV season 2 and this new season 4 are much better than season 1 and 3, and the game has improved, but D4 still has ways to go before it’s truly out of Beta.

Nevertheless, I give Blizzard credit and appreciate the efforts they made to continue fixing and improving the game. While there are some fun things to do, especially the main storyline, which I’ve done 4 times and it’s epic, the game needs a lot more fixing and improvements, and I hope that comes in the new expansion and season 5.

I also hope more fun events take place in both season game play and the Eternal realm to spice things up in D4 for season 5 and the new expansion!

Just because I shared some suggestions to make the game more fun and rewarding, and made a clear reference to the state the game is in now, doesn’t mean I don’t like D4. On the contrary, I hope Blizzard eventually gets D4 to be the epic, awesome, fun and rewarding game we all originally expected and paid for last year!

Not to mention, I continue supporting the game regardless of Blizzard’s shortcomings, problems and issues with Diablo IV because in my experience for the past 20 years as a Blizzard customer, Blizzard eventually delivers. In D4’s case, hopefully Blizzard will make the game better sooner than later.

Despite the existing and past issues with D4, I still purchased the new Ultimate Edition expansion last week, (Vessel of Hatred), because I like and support the game, but I will always share the facts and tell it like it is when things are not good with the game, whether Trolls like it or not! That’s what this forum is for, not for harassing trolls.

Mercenary Companions will add some serious epic fun to Diablo IV as I said many times in my previous suggestions from several posts I made on this forum.

One of the main reasons I pre-purchased the new expansion of D4 was because Blizzard is adding Mercenary Companions in the upcoming expansion, Vessel of Hatred, which I actually suggested early on several times when the game launched last year. Although Blizzard may have planned this, it was never mentioned by Blizzard until the pre-purchase went live. But I clearly suggested Mercenary Companions in several of my posts to Blizzard in the past year and early on, for them to add Mercenary Companions to Diablo IV on this forum, and in clear detail.

Either way, it is awesome to see Blizzard is adding Mercenary Companions to the new coming expansion in D4, which got me re-excited for the game, aside from the epic storyline. Whether this was from my suggestions or not, to me this shows Blizzard actually listens to its loyal players who play and support the game, (D4), because they continue to fix, improve and make the game more fun and rewarding for all players, and that is appreciated.

Also, I have played D3 and it is far more polished, fun and rewarding than D4 to this day, and the gear and even so called unique gear is awful, and most of it is useless in D4, but it has gotten better. As I said, D4 is still in Beta and still evolving. I hope D4 continues getting better, because I like the game, minus the bugs, and many issues that still need to be addressed.

On a final note, I do play WoW and it is by far one of the best Blizzard games, and my all time favorite. WoW never gets old, and continues to be a huge success, and that speaks for itself! WoW is epic, fun and rewarding and it keeps getting better! And yes, I do play WoW! It’s awesome!

I just say it like it is, but trolls like you seems to always find a reason to harass players on this forum, as if you need to challenge and reply to every comment with sarcasm and rudeness, which is what trolls often do since they have nothing better to do.

You can do better, you know! - Cheers! - JJ -
