Ah, ok, well since all the best builds are spam builds, then I guess, on your logic the majority of community would be in favor of just removing all CDs (which is really how things are functioning anyway), and just simplify all classes to a singular button, that autofires 6 skills in combat. Or lets make every skill available across the whole keyboard and we can just faceplant into it. Because 1, 6, 25, who cares. The button presses dont matter as long as we do them as fast as possible. The majority should enjoy it.
Best SB builds definitely are spamming everything. My Rogue and Necromancer definitely canât do this though. I have no clue about the other classes.
Again though itâs about an expectation and more importantly a staple in the genre itself. What youâre looking for will never be present in D4. However there are plenty of games out there that do offer this. No Rest For The Wicked is one of them, I donât suppose youâve checked that game out yet?
Havent looked into it (Edit: I take that back, I did look into it when it went into EA, forgot the name of it apparently - Dark Souls-like ARPG). Singular spammable buttons I think have always been around. But yeah, sorc is spamming, barb is spamming, druid is spamming. We even had evade spam this season. And I have played a lot of ARPGs. And if you look at older ones, yeah dated games I know, but you didnt spam every button on your skill bar in Grim Dawn, Warhammer: Inquisitor, Titan Quest, Last Epoch, Lost Ark, Torchlight 2. Did you have a couple skills that could be spammed? Yes. Was that skill normally exclusive for the duration of the skill/animation? Typically, but not always. Which meant even if you were spamming, you couldnt spam 5 other skills at the exact same time. Even D3, wasnt all skills at the same time multiple times per second (in most cases, but I think there may have been a few exceptions to this but I still dont recall it rising to this level of spam).
When I play SB. I need to remember all my other 7 buttons are pressed when they are off cool down. Same as sorc, if you donât press flameshield even you are healthy, you lose a lot of damage from Enlightenment. Blizzard policy macros is against ToS, but they already have the accessibility option let us auto cast the core skill. They just need to expand the accessibility option to let other skill auto cast.
Those using mouse with macros will continue use them to spam all this 7 buttons for QoL purpose. As the mouse software with macros is loaded by default, Blizzard cant ban users for having the Logitech G Hub running in the Windows.
Macros donât automates, modifies, or otherwise interferes with D4. It only automates, modifies, or otherwise interferes with your keyboard and mouse. Adam has specifically mention TurboHD which automates, modifies and interferes D4 directly.
As the mouse software with macros loaded by default in Windows, it will be a grey area. It is all about detection and enforcement. I can use macros with my Logitech G Hub doing other things in my window, while playing D4. Same as many macros software which its purpose is automate task in the Windows. Not necessary has to do with playing D4.
It is like having dirty thought of your co worker is against rules in working place. You will be having trouble only if you tell your co-worker what was in your mind
There are few D4 Bot software auto farm for you, those apps gather info from D4 client and provide direct instruction to your character via D4 subroutines. Those will get detected and you will be banned.
So you use macros so you donât have to spam 6 buttons just 1âŚseems like you found a solution that fits your needs/wants.
Now you donât want to do even thatâŚwhat is it you want now? Just find a good bot program so you just sit at the keyboard or find a different game to play.

So you either need to play a different build, or perhaps you just need to get your expectations in check.
If you want a game with more thought behind skill choice and timing, you should probably play a soulslike, or online fighting games, or a rotation/reaction based MMORPG, specifically NOT a hack&slash ARPG.
The reason most class need button spamming in D4 is the way the way Blizzard design the passive, paragon nodes and legendary aspect, give you multiplicative damage from different branch of skill and status effect. You need to constantly press the buttons of the skill from difference branch to activate the passive, and apply status effect include cloud control and vulnerability for maximum damage.
To resolve this issue, Blizzard need to revamp how all multipliers work in the game in patch 4.0 I think
In Elden Ring, there is some builds which can one shoot any boss. Which require you to activate many skills, consumable and swap gears quickly. Those builds are unpopular and only used by Streamer to showcase the one shoot. Most players donât mash their buttons for extra damage, they choose to play slowly and engage with the boss mechanic.
All true, but Macro software is Unauthorised by Blizzard, so you take the risk if you use it. Many time we see people crying about being banned, and all they have done is used Macros.

I have Logitech G Hub running for one year, it comes default with my mouse. Same as those use Microsoft mouse, they have their own automation software run in background. Microsoft own Blizzard.

I recommend you stop convincing us about that and save your energy to convince Blizzard officials to ban Wudijo and Rob. Also convince Blizzard to ban D4 players in Steam as they can map their controllers to execute many keys with one button.
Also convince Blizzard to ban users with all programmable controllers from play D4, include their own Xbox controller.
right. back in D1 through D3, damage-dealing skills and passives were separate. we didnât need to cast so many other skills besides our main damage skill to trigger passives. it was still fun and relaxing, just using mouse1 + mouse2, while our left hand could idle or scratching balls.
and still it leads down to 1 button 1 action. The software you use doesnt matter. if you get caught, and thats a matter of time, your account is gone.

you do know that people using macros are easily detectable right? doesnt matter what software they use.
But, as i said, you know the ToS, what you do with your account license is your personal decision. Just like its Blizzards part to terminate the license when they catch you.
i personally dont risk wasting a 100+ bucks license just to safe 1-3 button presses
