Am I tripping, or do characters look too genderneutral?

Like you refunding will lead to the death of Blizzard. :joy: Oh my however are they cope with that.

‘get woke, go broke’ is not allowed in the dojo

so we get ‘body type 1/2’ instead of male / female

There are difference between DD cups (sometimes looking absurd in some eastern games to be fair) and having cups at all. A, B and C sizes exist.
I.e. the necromancer looks like a dude.
See the necromancer from Diablo 3: goons.artstation-com/projects/nevYO
Does she have DD cups? Surely not. But she looks like a woman.

Same goes for necromancer hair. Why are there only options to look like a punk? Aren’t they priests of Rathma and should have also more classic looks?

When everyone is ugly, that isn’t diversity, but opposite of that. I’d like to have MORE options. Not saying to replace the faces/hairstyles already made.

Also Blizzard themselves made to remove helmet in cutscenes to show the customisation. Otherwise of course you’ll wear helmet after level 5 and never see the characters’ face.

This surprises you why? I mean…this is the 'New and Improved Politically CorrectBlizzard//Buzzard! They can’t take the risk of offending someone by either making them look too Manly,Feminine,Handsome or Pretty can they?

People changing reality to fit their headcanon are not the ones with issues but people who notice how insane it is are, lmao. Tell me friend, why do we have to change our language to accomodate 0,1% of the population? Is this still democracy or is this the destruction of reality for the sake of destruction.

The Barb, Druid, and Necro all have multiple masculine facial options. I do see some gender neutral Necro options, but there’s something there for everyone - I settled on something that looks like an old school Nosferatu vampire. No doubt someone else will make a Twilight glitter boy vampire. To each their own.

Oh geeze and this post was made last weekend, before we ever has our 5 senses affronted by druid and necro. Body sluders please blizzard! Moar choices!

…because that’s the entire point of character customization.

I’m less concerned over that, as it IS a fantasy setting, so all people, especially adventurer types, should be more ‘masculine’ as requirement for survival. Hard lives make for hard people.

However, I don’t get why every female character I’ve made has a sort of deeper register, more ‘manly’, voice. The most flattering description would be ‘dusky’, perhaps. But, nah, they all sound kinda like men who’ve taken estrogen pills a few times. Maybe I haven’t played the female version of a class that is an exception… but, so far, that’s what I’m hearing.

I literally chose the female Necromancer because it’s basically just a lithe male…even too much so, with many of the godawful facial options. I think there’s one decent one, which I believe is the one you chose. Which, considering I was looking for a more attractive and androgynous type, saddened me because I was able to get the body…but not the face I wanted, lmfao. One of these days, I’ll find a game with the ideal…one of these days.

Plenty of women have small breasts, and that’s perfectly fine…but the only woman I’ve ever known to have an entirely flat chest had pectus excavatum. That isn’t common for women at all, gaunt or not. Not to delve into controversial topics, but even anorexic women have more there than the female Necromancer currently does.

That said, I’m all for the options!

I wish that they would give us body sliders that work within the confines of what each class is meant to look like, with types that exhibit the extreme of that class all the way to types that exist more-so on the fringe. Having the option to have a female Necromancer who’s got pectus excavatum is great, but provide a range with some having just a wee bit more breast development, maybe?

Hell, it would be nice to be able to choose a male option and get that lithe androgynous look on my Necromancer and Rogue. All too often, I’m forced to choose a female option in games and then sigh at the breasts and armor that comes with such, and now I have to watch a game’s female body type come even closer to that ideal by completely removing the breasts.

The body they’re using for the female Necromancer is just a lithe guy. I know, I had that same body type for most of my life and have the photos to prove it. I may not quite have it now, in my late thirties, but by the gods…I grew up with it!

Well, it may be prudent for them to jump into the pool, rather than just dip their toes into the water. Many of the mechanics they’re adding right now are extremely basic and in need of further fleshing out: the character customization, the event system, the world bosses…

If they’re going to expand Diablo in this way, they’re going to need to put in a little more…and they’re clearly a company, owned by an even more massive company, capable of doing it…of literally setting the bar, even. If they just half-donkey it, they’re going to end up with “Magic: Legends.”

Well, that may be an exaggeration…as I’m more than sure D4 will be a financial success, it’s Blizzard, but what I mean is in terms of longevity and overall enjoyment.

Gosh please stop being weird. If you do not like the characters looking like normal people, play Lost Ark or whatever.

Do other people feel the opposite way? I find it frustrating that almost all of the female faces are on the smooth, younger (20s-late 30ish), ‘pretty’ side of things, there were no or very few options for more weathered, worn, wrinkled, or rough looking women characters. Meanwhile, almost all the male faces were on the worn, weathered, and wrinkled (late 30 - early 50ish) side, with no or very few younger, smoother faces.

And, while I can appreciate the fantasy of playing a tough, seasoned male adventurer, especially in a world like that of Diablo IV, there should also be space for playing a younger, less world-worn character. (Also, I want to be able to play a more handsome or pretty male character than what the current facial options allow, but I am biased that direction)

thats the thing, we are not playing normal people. we try to escape normal with this fantasy game. and now we’re forced to play with some donkey witches with jawlines so wide it even puts gigachad to shame

edit: but like someone else mentioned, this will save me a lot of money not having to buy any cosmetics for my donkey witch

holy crap this thread, the biggest threads in this game, arent about gameplay, legendaries, gear, skills, leveling
nope… peoples biggest problem is that female chars dont have giant anime boobs, just dont buy the game and go away. maybe go outside and examine some real people instead the ___hub site your always on

With the litany of problems the game has, an issue this irrelevant gets near the most comments on the forum. The sad times we live in.

Reality can’t be destroyed.

Hey, Angelina Jolie and Coco Austin have some statuesque features. :raised_hand::face_with_raised_eyebrow: They look damn good.

Druid life. Obviously all these people play Sorc.

“donkey witch” lol, I bet you would not enjoy to be measured by your own beauty standards.
I managed to make every class look absolutely fab, maybe it’s a “you” problem here.

You must have a weird definition of gender neutral. Looks at barb

Actually, those threads are so well bumped and replied to because of all the wokium crying about it.

Most breasts in the real world are A-B size, calling a game woke because every female dosent have DD size breasts is just weird, as the mvp posts have stated, the male and female chars do have obvious distinction, aside from the “body type 1 body type 2” distinction( which even elden ring has) and haircuts crossing over, the only thing seeming to be missing is that the chars have actually human like boob sizes which to you means both options are the same…

in Real life to maybe focus less on womans looks and try to form genuine relationships, if your getting this worked up over a video game, theres a good chance the woman whos beauty standard you think is acceptable just aren’t in to you, if you cared about getting those kind of woman youd be off the internet and in the gym most of your free time, as a disabled person ive accepted this notion a long time ago, also ask your doctor for some SSRIs it will help you greatly
