Add more trading

Problem is, if all you trade for is the 1% item, trading is kinda… dead for 99% of players.

Reason drops tend to be balanced around trade is to make trade worthwhile.

I think even in d2. Nobody outside of week 1-2 was trading for shako. After that it was a 5 nado helm or some rare gg items.

No runes or charms to bot farm which is good.

Keeping trading to a minimum, or locking it to only allow trading between party members who were in the group when the loot dropped (D3 style) is the best way.

  1. People who don’t put in the time to get the best gear shouldn’t be able to have the best gear simply by buying it.
  2. Gear funneling is unfair to competitive gameplay like leaderboards. For example, if gear is freely available for trade, people like Asmongold will have all his fanbois sending him perfect gear and making him immediately viable for topping the boards without putting in any effort.
  3. Opening up any sort of economy increases the demand for gold / items, and thus increases RMT. The more things that can be traded, the more hacked accounts we will see / bots that will be ran / etc.
  4. The only trading that I can see that would be fair would be crafting mats… and even then you are begging for farming bots. Upgrade mats should still remain soulbound / account bound to restrict people from buying their way to fully upgraded gear.

As for banning botters / RMT / etc… it would be nice, but that is a never-ending battle. Blizz even resorted to their own RMT system because fighting with gold spam / hackers / etc. was a losing battle for them.

While it is completely unfair, obvious for any logical person looking at leaderboards, and very frustrating… leveling / grinding bots will always be a thing in Diablo. Could Blizz dedicate someone to manually reviewing all leaderboard accounts and banning those who are logged in for 20+ hours a day, 7 days a week… sure, but will they… no. To be competitive in Diablo, you practically HAVE to bot to keep your paragon levels competitive. It isn’t physically possible for a person to play Diablo an average of 20+ hours a day, every day since the launch of the game / season… yet that is exactly what you see for many of the “top” players.

How would you propose Blizz addresses botters / spammers / RMT? They have already demonstrated that dedicating people to constantly look at accounts / monitor chat isn’t something they are willing to do.

By holding them accountable in maintaining a flagship title to the highest standards.

Maybe microsoft can do better.

Trading is a big mistake in D4. Blizzard should have learned that lesson in D3.
Hopefully it is one of the first things being removed in patch 1.1.

They learned their lesson removing trade in d3 and corrected their mistake by adding it back. See this is fun and productive.

Considering no company out there has ended the war on RMT, it’s not as easy as people think.

Stop attacking those with different opinions why dont you provide your position and why

Stop making duplicate threads: MORE trading please

Another one, that isn’t copy and paste: Open up trading

A Third one on the third request: 3 things this game still needs

Do you understand that the other threads become hidden due to false reports. By the time it is restored i make a new one…

Maybe dont false report… stop canceling others opinion. The majority want trade. Just because this forum is a echo chamber of 5 people doesnt make it the majority.
