I really believe the game should be 90% self found, 10% community support via trades. Perfect rolls of course would be scarce… and thats ok.

  1. Being able to trade uniques will make this game viable for a long time like D2.
  2. Builds a community that makes it feel more like an open world (personal preference).
  3. Being able to find 90% of the uniques makes it to where you don’t have to participate in trading if that isn’t your cup of tea.
  4. No changes to drop rate as eventually the hunt will be perfect items which will be rare.
  5. Gives us something to do when we need a break from killing all them demons.

What blizzard can do to offset some of your concerns.

  1. Actively ban botters
  2. Actively ban spam
  3. Close RMT sites.

I think at minimum $100 per purchase + seasonal income should be sufficient to keep a franchise game clean.

In addition please keep discussion civil so the thread doesnt get removed. Different opinions are ok. I know they wont do it but having different servers for trade and non trade was suggested in the last thread and that sounded great. Keep the good ideas coming!

Yeah, I have a hard time believing D4 will be able to avoid the trappings of an esporty like D3 again without having a robust trading economy. It’s what motivates endgame play. Without it, they’ll have to install timers and all that nonsense again to try and keep people interested. A small niche demographic.

People that dont want trading dont have a legitimate reason on how it would effect their game play. Other than jealousy

absolutely agreed, either the aspects should be reliable to get in game or tradable

I think what it is is that they just don’t want to have to deal with trading, but also feel they need to play efficiently. I get that, but I really do believe the game will fall apart if trading isn’t incorporated as the premier endgame motivation. So the people that don’t want to deal with it are just going to have to grit their teeth here. If not, then D4 ends up exactly like D3. Timers, esports, legendaries raining from the sky, and stat sticks.
