A chunky druid isn't an archetypal fantasy

Well fed =|= overconsumption

Especially for a class that respects nature and most likely wouldn’t take more from it than needed

There is nothing wrong with the druid models…

This really should be fixed, I don’t think druids male or female are supposed to be fat people that abandoned hope to live the good life. I mean, let’s be straight and it’s nothing that it is extremely sexist , but I believe druids should be somehow like barbarians but with a touch of nature culture…not the opposite were barbarians are trained for harshed times which show in their constitution and druids are just fat characters which just eat bear fat near a campfire.

I do not think the models are wrong, just out of proportions compared to the lore…Because I haven’t seen someone who fought the harsh problems of nature being fat and looking lazy.

And to be honest if you are carrying a lump of stone everywhere you go, you might be really muscular and fit not having heart diseases by chugging bear fat.

Big if true… … … …

I tried to enjoy druid twice during the betas. I like immersion in characters I plan to use for many many hours of gameplay. As someone who is very short and small IRL playing large characters for me has always been a step out of that immersion.

I probably will never have a druid in D4. I am perfectly fine with the body type, but am sad that the choice to bring it down to my personal enjoyment isnt there, despite a character creation system being in place.

I wont scream and cry about not being able to play a druid in its current state. As I said in another thread its a ‘me problem’
But I can still consider it a shame and wish for more options in a game clearly catered to many demographics of people.

This legit made me spit my coffee out  thank you for the hardcore lulz. The Copenhagen part had me in tears.

So you telling me my bear over there eating Salmon, has a 8% body fat?

You understand having a low body fat % is unhealthy if you need body fat to survive in-between meals?

Please point out the low body fat % hippopotamus, or the low BMI killer whale?

You are brainwashed by media so you pay for gym memberships, buy protein powder and buy food at higher prices, but little and often.

The druid transcends your brainwashed state. They know food is a resource and that bodyfat keeps you strong and warm.

https://animaliafacts.com/why-are-hippos-so-big/

They are not fat… why would a hot climate animal stack up high amount of fat? Whales, seals, etc do because it has insulating properties

Druid ain’t an hippo, a whale or a bear

He’s a human and he’s fat lol

Not all fats are equal. Brown adipose tissue is a super fat that gives humans near super powers.

Druid has high brown adipose levels.

ALL HAIL THE CHONKY DRUIDS!!!

Brown fat has mitochondria, meaning its metabolically active, producing heat. But i wouldn’t go as far to say it gives you superpowers.

Okay, I may be using hyperbole. But it does let you do crazy outdoor things in extreme cold that would kill others. That’s practically a super power… Its like when my Texan cousins come visit us up in Canada in the summer. They bring winter coats! :joy:

Meanwhile we visit them in winter down south and we are in t-shirts and shorts and they are all in sweaters! lol

maybe if we can get the idea across to blizzard that so many people will refuse to waste cash on skins for a character they dont like the look of, it might make them listen then? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

more options blizz! I wanna play and spend money on a druid! But in its current state, I personally dont see me even making one!

Druid girl is so extremely ugly, no only the body but also the face. I cant play a druid at all. Cant see anyone loving his druid char and buying skins for hundreds of euro for him.

Blizzard is really short sided with this woke mantra. There is plenty of fat ppl in the world, they are very common, why should I want to play as one?

It’s so bad the female Rosanne Barr model I tried to make one and couldn’t even bring myself to log in on it.

Considering I was more than happy to play a dwarf female rogue in wow this is definitely a design problem.

I agree that I for one will not buy skins for druid even if I do play one. However, Blizz is screwed either way. IF they make any changes to the druid’s body type right now, they will be in very deep ****. All the little snowflakes will come and “boycott” the game that they will never buy and play.

All we can hope for is a body type slider or more body types to choose from in the future.

Dwarf chars are awesome, so are a lot of other races in WoW. Imagine a fat blood mage. Drank too much fat saturated blood I guess

Yea, I am not holding onto hope with this particular issue. And I honestly gave druid a try in the beta. Its very much a me problem with being continually bothered by the look of the female druid and as I said earlier in the thread I will deal with it for the most part quietly by not playing the class.

If there was a legendary skin down the line that makes you look (for example) like the D2 druid or something that overhauls the entire body for one specific look, rather than having to redo the mesh for every single piece of armor in the game…
I would be down for that even!

When hearing the one dev say “endless possibilities” when speaking on the character creation I got excited, then I played the beta as was very much like “dang”

It remained in the realm of being a possibility. A possibility that never happened. Disney is slowly learning its lesson on being too PC. Don’t know how long it will take for Blizz.
