If you see no reason to play ladder then don’t? This post is a waste of disk space
Having a fresh start and playing through the game without GG equip and rushing for once is quite a lot of fun.
That is probably also the reason why many people want shorter Ladders, so they can do this more often,
Most agree for a fresh start which is why ladder should be delayed by 2 months, being we all ready getting a fresh start.
Fresh start, new economy, and racing. If you don’t like any of those, then just stick to NL. It’s no problem.

But sure most people play ladders for fresh start. The journey to godly gear is the fun part. Not having them. If you want to build them to ultimate perfection then you keep them in non-ladder and not delete. After every ladder you can add some small improvements to them.
If it was temporary, they would have stated that it was temporary. You are wrong, it is permenant unless stated otherwise.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share that Ladder Only Rune Words, Unique Items, and Horadric Cube Recipes that were once restricted to Ladder rank play will now for the first time be included in non-ladder multiplayer and single player play.
Dont you think wording would different if that would apply for all future seasons? I understand it that they are implementing it at release to nl and probably remove it season 2 again. It depends what “soon” means.

There is no non-ladder seasons. So i assume it is forever. We need more clarification haha
I know, i am not saying there is. I was trying to say it for me it make sense that they are releasing ladder stuff non lafmdder and it will be there active before season 2 starts because it would be weird to remove it just before season 1 again.
But sure i might be wrong. I dont see any issue with having ladder items accessible on non ladder. That way i dont have to play Ladder softcore which is good for me.

By “most agree” do you mean “just you”? lol…ironic you want a fresh start now but were asking to allow importation of closed bnet characters into the new realm…
if you mean the “for the first time part” personally to me it simply sounds like “it never happened before , we made it real” kind of thing , no mention of time in there. especially with the mention “that were ONCE restricted” such words usually means it’s not the case anymore period.
but of course that’s simply my thought on it i could be wrong too , i mean i’am not even english/american xD

personally even if you were right (i don’t say you are nor do i say that i’am , in the end we can only assume ) , i highly doubt they could ever turn back even if they wanted to considering how the players like this change , think it’s forever etc…

Exactly, no way they ungated content only to gate it again in a couple of months. A lot of people wanted this, the backlash would be huge.
Good point. New players who werent used to ladder->non ladder cycle who would stay nl would hate sudden change.

yea ,to add also an example many could have planned to do a runesword that would use high runes for it (and used to be ladder only) and then it wouldn’t work and they would have used those runes for nothing despite having farmed for them for months simply because they would have turned it back to ladder only.
many simply don’t read the update listing or go to forums etc… i highly doubt this scenario would never happen if they do turn back and i think it would add even more fuel to the fire.
in the end we’ll see , all in all , it’s good to see that the devs does read our posts and feedback.
and i’am also happy for the cow level , steaks for day , even royal steaks now ! 
(i almost never killed the cow king before…i will now or atleast my mercenary will since i’ll be lightning based on my first character xD)

With how they are changing it, there is almost no reason to play Ladder now. Bots will still be on top of the Ladder in the end. Shortened season cuts off the reward for building a strong character behind the ladder fence. NL having access to all Ladder content removes all of the other incentives. Pretty much now they only reason is sheer boredom of your existing characters.
