well we can clearly see it when all the ploot askers are gone after launch since there’s only ffa! so basically asking changes and anyways would leave it’s pretty much why ploot should never be even option…and we have seen this in many other games also…it’s not just 1 random guy like that

If there ARE no changes? Absolutely. A new great looking MMO is far more interesting at launch than a game that’s maintaining the same status quo it had for over a decade. I’ve already done everything in D2 for a long time, and if you have your way it’ll still be there to do those exact same things whenever I want to.

ffa creates other imbalances it doesn’t balance solo vs group play it just makes balance even worse. For a few builds that are bad at solo it might improve some of their drop odds but it causes too much secondary damage by improving odds of already strong solo farmers in group play.

You don’t group to get loot, you never did, if you got a lucky pick that was a bonus. You’re there for XP or PVP or other reasons.
D2 clickfest is an iconic gameplay and also contributes to getting rare items in a group being even of more value.
For the billionth time, this isn’t Diablo 2 + Mods. It’s Diablo 2 with a facelift and very subtle QOLs. Changing how the loot works is not a QOL it’s a preference.

D2R has been advertised with changes, and recently even potentially huge changes.
People would overall get the exact same amount of rare items in ploot groups as in FFA groups.
So is ladder items in non-ladder.
QoL changes are also preferences.
Stop feeding the trolls. They don’t want any changes cause NO. There is no way to reason with them.

Blizzard seem to think classic gameplay is maintained if the change is optional.
Although some changes so far are not (like NL items and TCP/IP).
That classic gameplay of starting fresh, to create items you can take back to NL. Gone.
I think it is a great change, but nonetheless a significant change.
No TCP/IP and Open battle.net are ripping out mutliplayer from the offline characters. Quite the gameplay change. Unless modders manage to change the situation.
Some of the stuff in Blizzards survey would be huge gameplay changes; new endgame content, charm inventory etc.
Those might not happen. But Blizzard is clearly indicating that they consider such changes to be within the realm of possibility.
I read the whole conversation. He did not say they will never add ploot. You guys are just making up fake talking points that don’t exist. It’s not a contradiction at all to say that they said they were discussing it and the only timeframe given was “for launch”.

Pretty sure the game everyone knew and loved had ladder only items, longer ladder seasons, no shared stash, etc.
I never got mad so just keep going with your ridiculous made up comments. I even said I don’t think ploot will ever happen. Just that the people acting like they said it for sure won’t are totally full of it, because they are.

i dunno why they make this changes maybe because in the new Ladder with be adding runewords or items to keep the game fresh.and they are following the QoL of farm the new items for new ladders for encourage people to play every ladder. if they dont they messed up. Also 6 months was a lot 3 is quite little i would gave it to 4 months. But then again i don’t ask for changes
Coming here and ask for core changis to a game only means that the person doesn want to play the game. he wants to play something that ressembles.

I am open to changes as soon as they don’t change the core of the gameplay. Looting is what essentially D2 is all about. Is a core part of the game like pvp/hostility mode.
people as a whole don’t like change as a general rule and people usually strongly dislike changes that don’t benefit them personally.
