Hello, I missed many seasons and just recently came back near the end of this current season.
Does anyone know which of the rotating themes will be next in line for next season?
Hello, I missed many seasons and just recently came back near the end of this current season.

Not yet. Hopefully one of the fun ones. Heard a rumor of mixing seasons at one point. Guess that fell through?
I do.
Think that was just wishful thinking by several posters. Nothing I have seen leads me to believe they will do anything beyond turn theme on, turn theme off, turn new theme on. And this will happen whether they intend to or not.
Figures. Would have been a cool way to keep things “exciting”.
Considering they’ll follow the usual timeline, they will share details about moving to the next Season about a week later. Removing smaller options such as double goblin, double cache, Triune, Followers of Sanctuary, Nephalem Nightmares or RoRG and LoD as constant effects, what’s left anyway?
I think the remaining ones are; Pandemonium, Tempest of Trials, Altar of Rites for stronger version and Visions of Enmity for capped Paragon.
I always say they would keep Pandemonium for a special occasion but they can surprise me because whenever I insist on that to be the next one, they pull another card up their sleeve. The next anniversary of Diablo 3 is coming near, so it’s never really off the table for me but I doubt it.
As for rest, everyone hated Paragon cap and heavily flashing lights of Tempest. I guess we would learn if they’re completely removed from the cycle or not by the next Season or so but I think the stronger Altar can return next Season.
Interesting, so i guess it’s really unknown by the community at this point, and not following a strict rotation.
If I was to guess, I think they’ll return to Soul Shards next season. I doubt they gonna have a large rotation of themes. And the crucibles, this season’s theme is the 5th of the rotating themes.
So, if I’m guessing the rotation will be Soul Shards, Unrestricted Cube, 4th Cube Slot, and Crucibles. Rinse and Repeat.
Edit: Ethereals were in there somewhere too.
No. But, so far:
If they keep the Season themes loop in an array of five, then each Season would match with the Haedrig’s Gift for starter Sets which are five and that’s kind of restricting. If that was the case and there are only five available Season on the loop, that doesn’t prevent one from farming a different Set than the starter gift, but that’s still kind of monotonous.
I hope they have more than five Season themes on a loop, so you would experience the different themes with a different starter Set each time. That way, the delay between same starter Set and same Season theme gets a longer to shake off the repetitiveness. Otherwise, player interest will wane in short term because they have to grind extra for the Set they like in their favored theme.
That only makes sense if the themes and class sets for every class match up. And they don’t. I don’t think it’s ever happened that the Season Theme matched up with every class’s starter set. So regardless, depending on class, you had to farm up the appropriate set.
You shouldn’t make stuff up that’s never happened since theme’s have been a thing.
This would be my guess as well, and what would make the most sense to me.
We should have an answer starting within the next 2 weeks. Stay tuned, as they may add another theme before beginning the rotation. 6 or 7 seems to be a good rotation number.
I hope it will be The Lords of Hell aka Soul Shards.
If it is, it will be an indication that only 5 Season Themes will be rotated. (The Lords of Hell has already been done).
The Haedrig’s Gift rotation pattern has not been consistent though, especially with the new sets. For example, the S34 gifts were the same as the S28 ones. If it followed a set rotation, they would have been offered in S33 instead: https://d3resource.com/seasons/index.php
Wow. I never noticed that before.
I play a Demon Hunter and from Season 22 to Season 26:
From Season 27 to Season 30:
From Season 31 to Season 34:
I’ll have to wait until Season 35 to see if Demon Hunters get Marauder’s or if it will be skipped.
Haedrig’s Gift is a rotation of 4 with a different set being skipped each rotation:

I expect next season’s Gift to be the same as Season 23
it seems consistent and following a pattern. But not a 5 pieces rotation.
I don’t see the pattern, much less a consistent one. ![]()

Take this as your baseline:
earth raekor waste IK (barb)
which was used seasons 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20
Season 22 was where the 5th set was introduced, so from then on, they used the baseline above and took out one of the sets 2-4 and replaced it with savages (or not at all - seasons 29-32).
So far, earth hasn’t been touched for no apparant reason.
And it seems like we’re now back to season 21-24.
Let’s see if this pattern holds or if I was overinterpreting the data presented. ![]()
We humans tend to see patterns where there aren’t so I might turn out to be wrong. ![]()
Don’t forget: Our fifth Class Set wasn’t introduced until Season 22. So obviously, Season 21 and earlier followed a different pattern.
Season 5 through Season 21 DOES follow a consistent pattern. But, I’m referring to Season 22 through Season 34, which includes the new Sets.
