SEA/OCeanic - High Latency & Disconnection Issues

Hi, have been getting bad lag when creating a game for the past 2 days, not sure if anyone is encountering the same issue.

Have tried DNS flushing and inserting “OnlineService.Matchmaking.ServerPool=AU1” into cmdline but not fixing the problem. Can anyone advise what else can be done?

Hi,yes im from sg, have some friends who arent affected though

I’m having trouble too. I’m around Orlando, Florida and using ATT Fiber. I just did a AT&T Broadband Test and it was 20ms. My latency bar in D3 is going between yellow and red and pretty much can’t play atm.

Thank you for the reports! We’re currently seeing issues with Singapore with high latency issues due to the connection routing going through EU to get the US servers.

We are gathering information and reports on the issue! I’ve updated the title on this thread to reflect this issue a bit more clearly. If you are running into this issue, please include a WinMTR file until the problem occurs for 10 to 15 minutes. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

As a workaround, setting the preferred server to oceanic should bypass the connection routing issue, one of our community members made a post here on how to do so. Thank you, Maskraider!

yes, but it will then overload the oceanic servers, screwing Aussies…

im from singapore, playing on the asia server and am also experiencing ongoing high latency issues since yesterday, with an error 3006. did everything with my router but there’s still high ping. Unplayable. Am getting a 1500-3000 ping for the past 2 days

Yeah i’m from SG (starhub) and have experienced high latency issues, can’t play at all… seems like only happened after the Starhub crashed on 15th April…

Sg (StarHub internet service provider) I can log into the game, but i can’t even can join a game or start a game myself. and there is always a times out and error 3006.
But anyway SC, SC2 and HoTS are working well tho.

Yep issue is still happening. Have tried logging in to AU but dosent seem to work

Does this same issue happen when connecting to Asia servers? When connecting to Americas the data has to go through an undersea cable, which are under massive stress currently due to increased global network usage related to the covid-19 crisis.

To be more specific, this first “203.208.191.113” node there is your ISP where the average latency is 3. Then after it goes to Telia out in LA the latency is ~200. That is where the data goes across the ocean.

Hi, I’m from MY. Same problem happen to me since 10th of April onward, firstly it happens on America servers, and i try Asia server on 12th April, since yesterday Asia servers was badly impact by high latency 1500-3700. I can’t give up my America servers since i played back in 2012 till now. @Blizzard when this can be solve? Are you guys sized down the capacity of the bandwidth?

Not to mentioned i had tried both Mac & PC on my D3. and my Ping test result just 4ms from the speed test. I did contact my service provider to reboot my fiber connection over their port. no issue found on other games. Only happen on D3.

This is the 4th day and nothing’s changed.

Blizzard, let me reconfirm that the Asia servers are perfectly fine but the America servers are unplayable!

From the diagnostic outputs, most of them indicated an internet issue rather than a server issue.
You should contact your ISP to see if they can help.

same here, i’m from Singapore too. I uninstalled Battlenet App and D3, now I can’t download both. I tried flushing DNS, even used LAN cable to download but until now I can’t install. Up to 22% then it will be stucked for such a long time.
Since Sat afternoon the lag is always there, so this morning I uninstalled. End up can’t download.

Try downloading from another region… as suggested by Blizzard’s Caterpepi here:
