S33 tier list guessing

eh, i knew it
necros will dominate

When you compare both; Shenlong damage bonus is actually 12.5% higher than Bartuc’s, the issue is maintaining the uptime of Shenlong’s which fizzles really quick unless you have a way to sustain it actively. Bartuc’s may have offer ChC% and CdR% but it may not cover that margin efficiently.

The fists of Shenlong has 350% increased damage (100% base plus 350% damage bonus) which means 4.5x damage multiplier. An Ethereal Bartuc’s have passive 100% Monk skill damage and another 100% increase from attacking the same target; both offering double damage for 4.0x multiplier over ten attacks. In short, Shenlong has 4.5x and Bartuc’s has 4.0x damage multiplier with some crit rating, yet latter is easier to sustain and maintain the buff longer.

It’s about 5 IAS damage multiplier from Flying Dragon property. Honestly, I don’t really understand how and why attack speed affects Tempest Rush Flurry damage, but D3planner shows it. This is why Bartuc is better than Shenlongs, and that PTR GR 147 at 1670 paaragon is a very very good result for Shenlongs.

I think for channeling skills, IaS% increase frequency of tick damage you emit per second and such increase in frequency of damage ticks also cause resources to drain faster in case the skill you channel is a spender.

To quote from this article:

Let’s say we’re playing a Demon Hunter with Strafe and we have a ton of IAS from somewhere (for example Pain Enhancer) so that our APS is 3.2. Since Strafe has an Attack Speed Coefficient of 4.0 it’s APS is $3.2 \cdot 4.0 = 12.8$. Putting that into FPA formula we get $60/12.8 = 4.68$ and that gets rounded down to 4. Meaning our Strafe fires a shot 15 times a second! However, we don’t need to get so much APS to get this FPA. We got 4.68 but any value greater or equal to 4 but smaller than 5 will yield the same result after rounding.

That’s why i play offline on switch, I have access to all the seasonal themes at once, soulshards ethereals etc.

No, it’ll be Deathwish.

It’s always Deathwish.

I mean Echoing Fury will work, especially for farming (or also just Fragment + Serpent’s Sparker + Aether Walker). But the very top clears will almost certainly be Deathwish.

You might see some Typhon Archon shenanigans too (it’s not uncommon to see that at very high paragon at the very top of the Typhon board), although I can’t think of an Archon 4th cube combination off the top of my head that would beat Deathwish on paper.

EDIT: Just realized the context you were talking about was speedfarming. Where you definitely won’t want to use Deathwish. Oh well, I’ll leave the Deathwish stuff here anyway.

I also think, depending on farming tier, Fragment + Serpent + Aether Walker will beat Fragment + Serpent + Echoing. Rifts under 2 min? Aether Walker > Echoing. Rifts ~3min +? Echoing probably better. Then Serpent + Echoing + Aether Walker would be good for low tier gear farm / fast low tier gem ups, but not XP farm.

I don’t understand how Deathwish works here. The push build requires non-stop signature attack to maintain 10 stacks from FoD, shields from Barrier Blades and activate Arcane Dynamo.

It’s an extremely janky playstyle, you’re not wrong… But it is doable.

Fragment stacks persist for 5 seconds. And obviously Arcane Dynamo lasts for the duration of a hydra. Once you cast a pair of Dynamo’d hydras, you don’t have to worry about Dynamo stacks again unless you want to reposition them.

So the idea would be you get your Dynamo’d hydras out and 10 stacks of Fragment, then channel until your Fragment stacks are about to expire, then stop channeling, refresh Fragment, Dynamo and reposition hydras if necessary, and continue your rotation.

Or with CoE, just make it pretty much entirely a big CoE burst rotation, just make sure everything is up then channel for the duration of CoE. The duration of Fragment stacks actually works really well for a CoE rotation. Just make sure you refresh the stacks with about 1 second left before cold CoE, then start channeling. Then you have Fragment + Deathwish buffs for basically the full 4 seconds of CoE, if your timing is decent.

Like I said, it’s pretty obnoxious. I don’t like it. But you’ll see people do it, especially on the high end.

MW: Deflection stacks while channeling. You’ll be squishier with fewer shields, so it’ll work better at high paragon when you can just outtank everything while channeling. And it can be … tricky to fit all the necessary skills on your bar. But at least with the CC immunity and passability from altar, it’s pretty easy to give up teleport.

If I’m remembering it right, people were doing Deathwish + Fragment + Serpent Typhon back in S22. Can’t find the clears that easily because that was before the set leaderboards were added, but I seem to remember it being a thing. It makes sense, it has really high damage output on paper.

Yes, it makes sense with CoE rotation, but still it seems super squshy to me with Winter Flurry. I’ll probably try Orb of Infinite Depth + Deathwish.

Season 33 = only Jesseths season

we’ve come full circle.

Ironic. S22 was not Jesseth only, it was in fact the opposite, basically no one was using it and you even posted the evidence that you were proven wrong.

S33 will be no different. There likely will be some builds using it but most builds won’t.

what you mean? rathma will be the strongest set in s33 or not? i’d like to push with trag nova

If I’m considering playing Trag’ouls DN build for s33, I can use/cube bloodtide blade and funery pick. What would be the best item for the 4th cube slot then? I’m not super familiar with necro. And, how close will the 4th cube slot get to the s32 theme with ethereals for the build? edit: well I had a good look through items and narrowed it down to this list:

envious blade
the executioner
the furnace
reilena’s shadowhook
squirt’s necklace

any thoughts?

Put Scythe of the Cycle in the 4th slot. That’s a flat 5x damage buff to Nova.

I looked at that and was stupidly thinking secondary skill LOL. That’s a DaveDuh™ moment right there LOL!!!

Thanks mate.

Scythe of the cycle or tragoul corroded fang

How about Nayr’s Black Death because of the bug? Might be easier for speed garning.

Could be great but i dont now how this bug actually works, 2 seasons ago that lebron guy on youtube cleared a 150 in under 2 mins with nayr in cube but he said it worked well only at high paragons (3500+)
