i think with the 4th cube slot necro will be s tier again (all his sets)
i hope also foth crusader but idk
what do you think?
Any time the cube is involved in the seasonal theme, Necro is top dawg because Necro weapons are just completely busted. If you give us any possibility to have more than one weapon power, we just dominate, end of discussion.
That being said, a 4th wildcard slot benefits literally every single build possible (unless your build literally doesn’t involve using the cube). I’m excited to see what this does for Monks, I haven’t used them in a long time and would like to revisit them.
scythe of the cycle, funerary pick, trag’oul corroded fang etc
I just take the example of the WD.
The 4th slot allows you to equip the CoE, which is not usually easy to wear.
PoJ Tempest Rush Monk with Shenglong’s Spirit, Won Khim Lau in 4th slot. Easy to gear up, difficult to play.
Tal rasha. Cube karini and wear focus and restraint. 2x the power.
Looks like its going to be a bit of a let down coming from the highs of ethereals.
I would quite like if the speed farming tier list changed a bit. I really don’t want GoD to be the best again.
imo foth sader>god dh for speeds
run around with your horse and autoattack everyone with foth
You can always go typhoon hydra with echoing fury or arachy chicken.
I used hydra this season and it is quite fun.
But will those and FotH be able to go as high in 3ish minute speeds as GoD? I think I saw people saying meteor can compete with it but can’t remember.
In my opinion meteor was not as good for 2-3min speeds as GoD. 4-6 minutes it was quite competitive with my skills.
Hydra was quite fun, but I don’t know how one does reliable speed 130s with it like you can do with GoD.
Problem of leveling with GoD is that it’s so boring. I have tried multiple seasons to get some early levels with it, but I literally cannot keep my eyes open for 1 straight hour speedrunning with it after a work day. Luckily it’s not catastrophe to have less gear and exp and play some slower runs with Marauder etc.
Yeah that’s the thing… it’s not that I dislike the build but I have used it as my XP farming build for a few seasons in a row now and its not that level of fun. I only start using it a bit later on, like around 1 000-1 300 then I spend about half my time using it for XP and the rest on my main build.
I tried LoD Nova this season but either I’m doing something wrong or the ranking is a bit inflated.
LoD Nova wasn’t very straight-forward on pushes this season. It needs certain playstyle, lots of trash / open map, easily draggable elites and pylon for boss (and / or fishing for correct boss). Single target dmg is so low. Doable, but if you don’t like fishing it’s not going to be fun.
Previous season it was so OP that the downsides started to disappear.
Yeah I think I’m going to lay off D3 until the open cube season starts up again then go Necro, assuming they don’t make any other changes to the game by then, which seems like they won’t.
Interesting…
For me, it’s the other way round. When I start on any gear that’s NOT GoD, it’s frustrating and agonizing. Once I move into GoD (even just 4pc with Cirri), I usually breath deeply and then smile, and enjoy the easy playstyle the whole season. I actually don’t get sick of it at all, tbh , and I’m playing 7 accounts, 3 reagions each… just for the season journey (not interested in pushing GR). Oh and they’re all GoD DHs… madness, right? . I guess it just has a very relaxing and calming effect on me… spin and spin and spin… mmm.
People are just different I guess
/edit: To stay on topic: GoD DH with added COE should hopefully still breeze through any speed and early content, up to 110+ even in lower paragons.
As expected Necromancers with Corroded Fang or Jesseth’s will be the top pick and highest tier; closely followed by Wizards with Orb of Infinite Depth or Karini. Rest of the power levels could be Demon Hunter because Odyssey’s bow, Crusaders because Norvald’s and rest of the roster follows with Furnace or CoE.
On Demon Hunter I find Unhallowed Essence better for things like Visions because you don’t have to worry about Taeguk and Momentum stacks.
Just checked PTR ladders. A Korean player downed 150 on Trag’Oul Nova necromancer at just 1097 paragon ( no Ethereals ). Another Korean player cleared 147 on PoJ monk, ( 1670 paragon, Shenlong’s Spirit build ). That monk result is very impessive, Shenlong set has almost twice lower damage on paper compared to Bartuc’s Cut-Throat.
GoD is quite a nice build for just shutting off and not using much mental energy. Its not a build where you have to blink around the whole time for speeds, no constant spell usage, just enter the rift and relax.
Yes of course you do use spells, but other than the momentum stacks the rest don’t feel spammy to me. Probably because you can just do them all at once (and vengeance lasts a while) and if you are doing a few levels lower than your max you can just kind of forget about fan of knives or if you are real lazy just leave all of those until you feel like it.
