Ok Dev’s, I get it YOU like Legacy of Dreams Gems!!! How about something else for once after 20 rift runs!!!
Anyone else getting this?
If the gem (this goes for all gems) is not on the char, inventory or stash when you complete a greater rift it will drop you a new one.
If its on another char or follower the game doesn’t see you have it and will continue to drop it.

This is actually a feature. The LoD gem is considered as a good starter gem, just after Bane of the Powerful. Therefore, these two gems drop always with highest priority. First BotP, after that LoD.
Next time you get LoD and don’t want it, just put it into your stash, and the other gems will start dropping.

I was gonna say, give him some break, as new players might know this, but this guy is not new. I noticed the pattern soon after. How could he not notice this? : /
Honestly, why would someone NOT pick it up?
The SECOND GR you make in the season (or non season if it is first time playing), you get LoD Gem, what compels players not to pick up all the loot? Then complain they are not getting other gems?!
While we are at it, I am curious, Are the gem dropped in well known defined order?
(like I always seem to get the yellow gem against elite or something)
Does that mean if you are missing multiple gems, but not picking the one you get, you will get it over and over again?

Bane of the Powerful is always the first gem dropped. After that Legacy of Dreams now has a massive weighting, so will likely be 2nd. After that, it’s pretty much random which order the others will drop.

They are heavily weighted, and usually fall before other gems. But I have on occasion not gotten them first. In fact the LoD gem was only recently added to the weighted options.
The highly sought after ones tend to fall near the end… Which is annoying.
But yeah, if you don’t keep them all in your stash right away, you will not get them all.

I would not know that, because I always take them all… to avoid further annoying drop, hahah!

Last season I put LoD in one characters inventory precisely because I did want more of them to drop. Ran other characters to get them. At season end I had 6 of them leveled to 99.
well must be bugged on console then, cos LOD gem was the 3rd gem that dropped for me with my SC character at the start of s20…just sayin’
He said ‘highest priority’, not ‘guarantee’. What is guarantee is always BotP as a first legendary gem. Next is random, but higher priority on LoD.

True. But, if BOTP can be done in such a way that it always drops first, then the same can be done to LOD so that it always drops 2nd. Obviously the weighting process wasn’t done very well wink wink.

The drop rate of LoD was requested last year…
if it was weighted to drop 2nd, then it is…
