It seems very strange to me that many here claim that cheaters are very good players. That looks a lot like defending the cheaters to me.

It has nothing to do with defending cheaters.
We don’t like cheaters any more than you do.

It’s just wrong to assume that someone that cheats automatically is bad at the game.
If someone cheats to get an competitive advantage he already cares more than the average joe.

That’s not the same thing at all.

I wasn’t rank 1, I’ve never cheat. I guarantee others are in the same boat. Just because someone had a reason to cheat doesn’t mean they did.

Poor people have a reason to steal, doesn’t mean they did or will.

You’re not making any sense, being a cheater does not exclude you from being mechanically great or knowledgable about a game. Last I checked those were the criteria for being “good” at this game.

You don’t have to agree. I’ve dealt with plenty of cheaters in my years. They all come up with all kinds of rationalizations on how they’re good, etc. They’re just trying to find a silver lining in what they do.

It’s not an opinion, you’re just wrong. There are Chess Grandmasters, i.e. players that are far better than 99.99% of the entire Chess Community, that cheat. They’re not bad at the game, they’re just cheaters. It’s not about making excuses, it’s about being able to seperate two completely different matters. One can be good at D3 and cheat, one can also be bad at D3 and cheat. Is it more likely that you’re bad if you cheat? Maybe, but correlation is not causation.
