I’ve been encountering a strange bug with Necromancer this season in 26. When I’m playing Necro, I sometimes, but more often than not, will get animation-locked in some silly looking pose that looks like the recovery animation for attacks, but instead of a small window of not being able to do anything, it’s about 7-8 seconds. I’ll just perform an ability, then get locked in place and can’t move or protect myself in any way and just have to sit there and take all of that damage and most likely, the death from it. It’s so frustrating to even try and play this class because with this bug in my opinion it is literally unplayable. It only happens on Necro, and it’s been happening for days, so at this point I have ruled out poor connection, and am more than 90% certain that it is the game being bugged.
Hi,
Try replacing the Stone Gauntlets you currently have in the cube by something else… and see if the freezes go away.
Let us know how it goes.
No way. I guess I never read that goes up to 100% haha. Leaving this up for my own shame!
you are not the only. i’ve seen many threads about ppl having the same problem because they dont read the legebdary power lol
I wish it was this simple. I knew I was running the gauntlets in my cube slot. I was just not thinking it was the near immobilization that it is. I’ve been running them on my Wizard this season and haven’t noticed that at all, but silly me
Yay, I get to use my new “Stone Gauntlets FAQ” post…
Blizzard’s stickied How to Write a Good Bug Report says…
That should get you to another stickied thread…
The legendary affix on Stone Gauntlets is…
Getting hit increases your armor by 50%, but reduces your movement speed by 15% and attack speed by 20%. This effect stacks up to 5 times.
This means…
Stacks | Armour | Movement Speed | Attack Speed |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Increased by 50% | Reduced by 15% | Reduced by 20% |
2 | Increased by 100% | Reduced by 30% | Reduced by 40% |
3 | Increased by 150% | Reduced by 45% | Reduced by 60% |
4 | Increased by 200% | Reduced by 60% | Reduced by 80% |
5 | Increased by 250% | Reduced by 75% | Reduced by 100% |
Because the Stone Gauntlets provide both a benefit (increased armour) and a penalty (slowed movement and attack speed) the intention is that the player needs to utilise other items or abilities to remove the penalty but keep the benefit. For example…
- Equip or Cube the Ice Climber boots
- Use an Invigorating Gem at Rank 25 or higher
- Maintain 100% up-time on your class’s uber-ability, e.g. Wrath of the Berserker on a Barbarian, Akarat’s Champion on a Crusader, and so on.
The trick with the stone guantlets is that you need to have abilities that can negate being hit or negate the immobilize effect itself. For example. Wizard shields if tuned properly can prevent hits thus not triggering the gloves. If you have an ability which prevents immobilize then you can gain the armor benefit without suffering the movement and attack penalties.
