I have been farming for the Murlock Amulet off & on but then I was browsing some D3 info and saw that with the implementation of Loot 2.0, it had been removed. Is this the case? I don’t want to farm if it isn’t in the game. I understand that it is a rare drop.
Could the Murlock be made into a pet dropped by the Pet Goblin? I have all the pets they drop and I confess I do like the little critters following me around.
Just a couple of thoughts as we wait for the next season.
Its here and nothing changed after 2.0 loot.
Amulet is magic type (blue) and can be only dropped by Shark in Belial’s duct. Shark is not very rare - i saw him in about 5% games, but drop seems incredible rare.
I kill’d him more then 1.000 times for sure, i care’d his location for 2 years or so (always checkd when do bounties etc). I dropped it in season 20 time or so with non-seasonal character.
Pet is independed from other pets and u can have them both following you. Murlock pet cannot pick up gold tho. In fact he dont do anything, he just cute, and he’s there.

If u want Murlock u have to be prepared for hopeless checking, its prob harder to find then Princess with her wings. Good luck, it will eventually drop from Shark.

It’s not that rare. After guardian each season, I farm him until I have 4 or 5 of them, then give them away to the cosmetics group. It’s a blue item. Make sure you look at the loot before resetting. Easy to miss.
Does anyone have a list of other goodies like this in the game that many of us know nothing about?
Here’s a list of the blue items. FYI, it may not be 100% accurate - I just tried getting the splintered oar with 2 accounts and didn’t get the “guaranteed” drop. And no, I don’t see it as a 2H sword transmog on either account.

Not even close imho. I’ve done more rainbow runs than murlocket runs (and I did a lot of those too!) and haven’t gotten the cosmic wings yet. Perhaps I am just unlucky (well, I know the answer to that lol!).
NO. All of the blue xmogs are still in the game. Some rarer and harder to find than others (Griswald’s edge, wirt’s original leg are even harder to find than murlocket!).
Murlocket took me around 350 runs to find and it was rather frustrating to say the least. It seems rarer on console than on the PC port of the game. Many streamers are saying it took them on average around 50 runs to get it on PC…ymmv.
depends on how you define “not that rare”. Took me around 350 runs and was very frustrating. edit: I have all of the blue xmogs, pets etc. I don’t have the cosmic wings or rainbow portrait - but of them are just not dropping for me, despite farming on and off for 4 years.

100% correct, the one I have is level 61 and came with a socket (not sure if they all come with one).
Reading this thread got me piqued to farm this Amulet. I got it years ago, before I knew what it was, and got rid of it.
It only took me three runs. The first run did not spawn Moontooth Dreadshark. The second run spawned it, but it did not drop The Murlocket. The third run spawned Moontooth Dreadshark and it dropped The Murlocket! 
You can tell when it’s going to spawn. You’ll find a pile of trash that looks like the usual hostile, breakable trash in these Dungeons (red highlight when moused-over). Except this pile of trash does not highlight nor can it be destroyed. However, when you approach it, Moontooth Dreadshark breaks out and attacks you.
