I want some clever kind of defense for most asked monk builds: uliana, generator and ltk.
all those have one in common: when dealing dmg you usually stand still. Ltk is kind of special since it has the possibility of perma epi, so no cc problem. The generator is on the other side of the spec: from the build specs u usually play without any cdr or rcr. People try to get cc set in this but to be honest, thats not the way to go. Uliana needs maxed cdr for dealing dmg, so its kind of ok to take epi but still there are gaps
this means for generator your defense is tied to items. There are two in total: spirit guards and leve shoulder, whereas if you use the latter one you need rorg and deepdigger in cube. To get some defense up, many player take unity into the build and bÀÀm: you can not play the build in group play.
kind of similar is uliana: spurit guards, leve and that sss belt. Ha the belt mechanics are so bad: if you got the 14 bonus (with lion claw) and you end up killing monsters and you only hit 10 you lose dr (dmg reduction). The buff is so short that you lose it anyways when getting to next pack.
ltk is also pretty hard to play. Usually you should use lon (not lod) but most ppl use lod. Why? Simple: they can take unity inside and bÀÀm, no grp play possible.
some real creative suggestions were here last days:
for gen: lets remoce the shenlong spurit drain and add 0.2% dmg reduction to it. If non season, this would only help gen builds.
for uliana lets get 10 % dr for each enemy with ep around you up to 6-8 enemys. That would be kind of unique.
for ltk i have no idea. Since ltk and wol builds are pretty similar, wol is stronger on the defense since you can stand whereever you want and not in the middle of poison fire arcane lasershow (or think on ghom, vesallius,β¦)
the non clever but also helping item would be a new ring with 60%dr flat lifted to 80% when no epi is used. That would help both, epi and non epi builds.
also lets point out that gen builds are NOT PLAYABLE since you are not cc immune. You must be face on face to the mob, so you must skip all hard hitters+ knockback, fear and frozen. I never got a rift without all of that.
