[Main Thread] Problem Loading Game License Code 395000 / Error 300016

Hey everyone,

Merging threads for these two errors. Seeing quite a few of these starting from last night and not sure if the two errors are related, but possibly are. Let’s go ahead and start getting some connection tests just to be sure it’s not something on the connection route. A WinMTR would be great for this.

I’d also like to test out of using a different DNS such as Google or Cloudflare help out, along with some connection troubleshooting.

I can’t log in either.

Same issue here…I wasn’t even gone that long. I uninstalled the game a few months ago to make room on my drive. Got a new hard drive and reinstalled…now I can’t log in due to this error and when I check the website I’m missing characters on my profile and some of the characters I do have are missing gems I know I had slotted…

This isn’t a “connection issue” . Battlenet and WoW wouldn’t be working if that was the case.

More than certain the certification / authentication service for American servers here are not querying the right database for clearing login certification. As everyone can access the EU / Asian servers just fine.

You guys should probably query the EU/Asia database for their authentication data and see where the break is.

Go to the downdetector website, enter battle net, many people from the EU have problems .

I’m still getting the error, cannot long into D3

I started with 395000 and now I am with the 300016. Changed DNS, checked connection, everything is fine, except D3 America server.

I’ve been running in to this same issue. My account logs in fine and I’m able to get in to game, but my wife’s account fails to login with the 300016 error code. Yesterday she was getting the license error, but that’s been replaced with the 300016. This happens on the same laptop… mine works and her’s doesn’t.

I had the same issues today as well. What worked for me was to log completely out of the battlenet desktop client and running the game without logging in. Just press the gear at the log-in pop up window to do so. I then ran D3 and put my log in info in-game and it worked. I haven’t played for a couple of years so maybe that was the issue. Hope that helps someone

I also, cannot login.

Tried using Google DNS instead as well and still unable to.

Pretty sure this isn’t a connection issue because I can login from other family account on the same computer just fine.

Maybe really inactive accounts are having this problem?

I havent played in over a year and im also getting the same error. But ive been watching netflix and playing wow all day. I am VERY unhappy with there not being a number to call for support anymore. I cant run a tracert so i cant make a ticket.

Just bought the game, downloaded it and cant login on american servers. European and Asian ones goes smoothly, but the American one keeps giving me this error.

Same problems here, America server wont connect but the other two work fine. Clearly its on Blizzards end and they haven’t cared enough to look into it.

Earlier today I tried logging into Diablo III and got 395000 errors each time. Then when I tried logging in at this forum to report it, the authentication server informed me my password was incorrect.

Now when I try to log into Diablo III I get a 300016 error.

At least I can now log in at this forum to share my experience.

Update: It is now possible for me to log in and play Diablo III.

I’ve been having the same problem as well. I’ve tried to resolve the issue on my own. I downloading the game yesterday after a few years of not playing and the code: 300016 continues to pop up. I switched to the EU servers (play on American) and it worked fine. I’ve tried troubleshooting, scan and repair, uninstalling/reinstalling, checked for updates for my drivers/operating system/Diablo 3, reset my network devices, released and renewed my IP and flushed DNS, closed all other applications and deleted the Battle.net Tools folder. Nothing has worked. I ran the WinMTR test and sent it to them in a support ticket as well as a tracert and other information.

I got a response back and they said they believe it has to do with a Windows update that changes the firewall settings. They suggested I check the game is permitted through the firewall which I still have yet to do. I’ll update my post once I do that.

~Edit~
I went to Firewall and Network Properties to see if the game was allowed through the firewall. I noticed my network was active on public instead of private so I went ahead and switched it to Private by going into Windows Settings > Network and Internet > Change Connection Properties and setting it to private. After that I went back to the Firewall and Network Properties and clicked Allow an App Through Firewall. Scrolled down to Diablo III which I had four of for some reason. Idk why but went ahead and made all of them private and allowed them through. Thought after all this it would work… it didn’t. I still typed all of it just in case it might work for someone else.

I noticed someone else said they logged out of the Batttlenet client and running the game without logging in by pressing the gear in the log-in pop up window. Then logged in manually. I tried it and still nothing. Still gonna post everything I try for everyone else <3

Super sad but not pissed. I checked the Diablo III website since I noticed people were saying characters were missing. Logged in and it said no characters were found. I won’t be pissed as long as I can actually play the game I paid for soon. But I suggest that those who are having this problem and are more into the game than I am check to see if their characters or at least their main one is there.

I know I’ve wrote a whole essay, but I went ahead and updated my support ticket with new information that I have posted here. Awaiting a response but I do know they are also keeping an eye on this forum for updates.

For now, I suggest just keeping an eye on all forums related to your codes recently. Hopefully it’ll be fixed before we miss the chance at those anniversary wings.

~5th Edit~ 7:05 PM Eastern Time

I just randomly decided to try it again, it failed to automatically log me in but I manually tried and got in! Oh forgot to add that my main character was indeed there so it might just be an issue with the Diablo website!

Customer Support being a little slow on this one. Far to many people unable to get into for this not to be a top priority. I’ve seen several say they just purchased the game or an expansion and unable to get in, At least acknowledge its an issue.

Ok got in after awhile (7:01 pm est). Good thing I have authenticator anyway.

Thank you for your time

I was getting the 395000 error now experiencing 300016 when trying to login to D3 NA. I can successfully launch the game when switching to EU servers. Haven’t played the game since Dec 2018 and cannot verify that my previous characters exist. This is a fresh install on a new computer. I’m going to verify if my husband’s account still works. ETA: his is broken too. Can we have a fix for this please?
