I’m Getting this same issue Able to Login to Europe severs but not American … My guess is its a fetching issue as it seems to hang every time its trying to Load my characters. I also have not played the game in some time so they may have did something that is causing older character data to conflict with the loading.
same, STOP BLAMING US BLIZZARD!!!, IT’S NOT US, fix your authentication servers!!! this is obviously a WIDE SPREAD issue, and classy ur first instinct is to just blame us that is OUR problem, I’ve also done several attempts to log in, its not my firewall, its on your end!!!

Any idea what the fix for this is?
I am hoping it gets fixed before the new season starts, I have been trying to log in for two days now and keep getting the same 395000 game license error that everyone is getting.
Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
Same here. Tried logging in today after 2 years and got the same error code 
I also have some missing characters. I remember maxing out each class in the base game but it seems like some have disappeared.

so i am not finding a clear resolution to this issue… nothing here seems to help get in the game.
I was getting error code 395000 yesterday, cleared my Blizzard ProgramData cache and now I’m getting 300016 every time I try to log in.
Appears to hang at the step when it attempts to grab my character list (it gets to the green check mark on “Authenticated” and then errors out)
- I can log in to EU servers just fine (just affects US server)
- I’ve tried clearing my DNS cache
- I’m using Google DNS
- I haven’t played in over a year probably (returning player)

same i cant login keep getting the same code
I was having quite a few issues logging in (45 minutes worth in fact). this method solved it for me (after 3 attempts of doing it, the first 2 of which launched the blizzard app instead of the game)
Trying to return to D3 after years.
Same as everyone else above, and my Characters that I spent hours on are “not found”…

Screw it, just playing on EU servers (which load just fine, hence its not OUR ISSUE, if it was something like my connection or antivirus those servers wouldn’t work either yet magically they do!) , was gonna start fresh anyways, good luck everyone, ive gotten no help from blizz support, surprise surprise!

Same issue here. My girlfriend also downloaded the starter (trial) edition which also has the 395000 issue. Pretty irked there isn’t even an option to play the game offline.
Had same problem too, join Europe had no issue.
I guess this game banned in US?
Same here can not get into game but can get in all other blizz games fine and can get onto eu server just fine
Also having this issue. I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps in this thread. Using Cloudflare for DNS (1.1.1.1).

To be honest. I don’t know what I did. I tried to swap the game to 32-bit, didn’t work. Swapped it back, didn’t work. Was grumpy for like 5 minutes and tried to log in manually and it worked. Now it works when launching through Battle.net.
still getting the same error in game when “retrieving hero list” i will reinstall
originally i was getting the License error. now im getting the code: 300016 error. and it’s only happening to the Amercas server that i mainly play on. I can log into the other servers but im sure as hell not restarting everything!

It’s been 24 hours almost and I still keep getting 395000 code…I just want to play the game.
I had the 30016 error, so I tried previous suggestions, and then I checked the firewall settings, it was already set for private, and all the blizzard and Diablo apps were set that way already, so I just turned off the Windows 7 firewall (still have one at the router) and I immediately logged in successfully. So, it appears that some firewall functionality was blocking what Diablo III was doing.
