I also am getting error 24004 in Diablo 3.
It happens specifically during attempts to join Public Games > Adventure > Greater Rift type games at Torment XVI difficulty. I tried all other game types (Bounty, Rift, etc.) and could play at any difficulty including XVI. I can join Greater Rift games at lower difficulties just fine, it seems.
I’m Canadian playing patch 2.6.8.66666.

Tried switching from 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz router signals. No difference.
Tried using iPhone hotspot (Canada, Telus as mobile carrier). When using a hotspot everything works fine.

Same problem, Americas, greater rift public games give error code 24004

— North America - Does this happen on a different character?
— at least every character on NS… (I don’t play seasonal so I don’t know if that would happen on a Seasonal Char) - Does this happen on [an alternative connection ] or VPN?
— I use mobile tethering - Gather a [WinMTR file] until the problem occurs for 10 to 15 minutes.

As an update I have tried changing the dns information from google to open dns to att etc. All produce the same result. I have also flushed all nat and routing information from both the client box and router.
I found a fix for me. Not sure why it works but it does. I live in US but cant connect to Americas default server but if I use Americas AU server I can play T16GR public.

Hi there. Have encountered the problem as well. Only thing I can add that will maybe help is that t15 and lower works for accessing GR. Only t16 spawns the error. Hope this helps!
