I'm 90% sure blizzard has forgotten about existence of bots

It’s been at least 3 seasons, maybe more, without a purge, at least in NA/SA/SEA region. And man those botters are WILD, many of them even stream on twitch.

My theory is that blizzard totally thought there is no bot anymore after ceasing and desisting that r****.com site.

This is simply not true, people’s been botting 24/7 season 30, 31 and 32 and receieved absolutely no repercussion because there is at least one gray version of rrr-bbb that still works and is looking good to work in the future.

At this point, since poor D3 is on maintenance mode, Blizzard (errr ActiVision, errr MicroSoft) does not care. I can’t see them caring until they find a way to turn D3 into a money maker. Maybe, just maybe, there isn’t a real live human being providing maintenance service to D3. Maybe, just maybe, it’s… A BOT!!! Dun dun duuuuuun. If that is the case, you can’t expect a bot to commit botticide on another bot. That will disrupt The Matrix.

There’s already a lengthy thread on botting and cheating that you can add to. I don’t think you’ve said anything here that’s not covered over there.

Quite the opposite. There should be many more threads like his. Maybe an employee will take notice and someone from the company will take care of the problem.

Do you really think they even look at this forum anymore?

And thats why i wrote “maybe”

That’s also a violation of the forum CoC and will get people banned; moderators still frequent this forum even if Blizz staff do not.

I don’t like the bots but I also acknowledge the game is just what it is now and it won’t change. Botters, exploits, unfixable bugs, the whole shebang. This game came out in 2012, I believe. It’s time to move on.

At this point, it’s probably not worth worrying about botters and cheaters. For me, I have set my own personal goals; I want to hit P7500 (NS), get all the achievements (completed recently), and run a 150GR with any of my NS Characters. I’m close, but not quite there yet. I think with the lack of support, worrying about leaderboards, etc., has lost its luster. I guess my thought is “play for yourself”; enjoy your achievements, set your own goals, and ignore the cheaters!

(EDIT) I really wish they’d consider another expansion; I absolutely love the game; but that is up to the bean counters…

Past behaviour is a good predictor of future behaviour. They did almost nothing for 12 years. What makes you think they’d start now that the game’s in maintenance mode?

Did i write “i am sure”? Again, i wrote “maybe”. One can only hope.

Fools hope maybe.

I’d also reiterate that deliberately violating CoC only nets the wrong kind of attention as Zurtle pointed out.

Isnt calling someone a fool against CoC?

Fool’s hope is a standard expression, not a personal attack :+1:
I believe that in Europe region there is usually some cleaning after each season which can be seen in changes on the leaderboards?

Roll a dice twenty times. You could get twenty sixes in a row.
Maybe that’s more likely.

They are doing nothing at all against cheaters.
I have reported several cheaters that is making money from it on Twitch. Even linked evidence to back it up. Nothing for 3 seasons now. The same ones keep cheating.
I then proceeded to contact support. They just replied back with “use the email”. The email is the one they never look at.
No help from Blizzard at all. They don’t care to enforce their own rules in their own game.

Maybe it goes like:
“Don’t be a snitch on twitch”

They probably don´t care about D3 now that D4 is out. Just look at D2R, they won´t even remove the spammers who are in our face right away when you start the game.

There are several who love to violate the CoC yet love to try rationalizing how others may be violating it. Just ignore it.

They simply cherry pick who to enforce the rules on. There are streamers who are known to some that they deliberately turn a blind eye to because their views draw them in customers. But if you’re just a regular Joe Blow, the rules for you change. This is well documented.

There are also plenty of spammers in D4

Well, when you see D3 on sales, then you will know that they had banned few bots, and the very same botters will buy D3 again with a great value.
