This was what Kirottu wrote, a fools hope is an expression, a you VERY well know, that means that you hope in vain. At least to my knowledge as I am not a native speaker.
If I am right you are though, therefore you should have known this.
The only conclusion I can make is that you love to cherry pick quotes in order to appear as some sort of defender of the oppressed. It has gotten old and really weird.
As someone who completed multiple 150s without botting… As someone who did it by grinding But also… it’s a grinding game. What do you expect?
If you haven’t done a 150 before, it was incredibly easy last season at fairly low paragon. Even more so with the Nayr’s Black Death bug that may never be fixed so maybe just wait for season 40-something when it comes around again?
150 really isn’t that hard. Did mine S28 with cold Tal Meteor. Only had 2500 paragon. Did it on the first try in 12 min, so no fishing. Could have easily done it around 2k paragon if I cared.
“Only 2500 paragon”. For some people that’s a heady grind. I’m at 1500-something this season and I just can’t face the grind this time around. I ran a few GRs on wiz yesterday and closed the game without spending my shards. But then I overdid it last season soloing 4.6k.
The problem is the comparison for sure. But what a marvelous problem for a game to have where it appeals to a wide variety of gamers. Casual, semi-casual, addicts, and *cough*automation enthusiasts *cough*.
Unfortunately its the opposite.
Forum moderation is gone and everything is automated now.
The original mega thread for anti cheating was taken down.
There are hundreds of threads and thousands of comments on this topic, yet the main issue hasn’t been dealt with.
What D3 needs is more frequent bans.
Not ban a few leaderboard bots at the top, I am talking full bans againt the thud cheats, god tools AND bots. Nuke them all weekly.
It’s all relative. 2500 is virtually nothing compared to players who get 4000-5000 in a season, and definitely nothing compared to those extreme “players” who get 8000-10000 in a season. You can get 2500 in a season with 1-2 hours a day of semi-efficient solo play. A lot quicker if you group up.
My whole point was 150 is not impossible or just for the cheaters. Someone just needs to put a little effort in. It just matters what’s important to the player. If 150 is important, just need to put in a little time. If 150 is not important, kill time with other activities.
Exactly. A successful game needs several viable end game activities to keep players engaged.
So if, - IF! -, they will probably automate banning and make it a “weekly nuke”. But then I guess there will be lots of collateral damage, because on a “retired” game I doubt that there will be a single person checking the AI’s doing…
In my very own opinion and as sad as it sounds, I think it might be better to just ignore “it”, and if one can not do that, it is probably better for that one to just “quit” the game…
The point of botting is to get an insane amount of paragons in a short time to dominate the leaderboards. So i think you can find most of the botters at the top of the leaderboards. And this is a big annoyance for the honest players.
Thats exactly why I started the old banwave request topic. Myself slong with my entire clan were fed up that filthy cheaters were allowed to claim the top spots.
I have some of the best players in my clan from around the world, and they way cheaters are handled is a total let down.
Instead of blasting entire seasons, we are resorted to trying the grab worlds firsts, achievements etc before the botters surpass us because we have to sleep, eat, work…
If bans were realtime, I think players would be more inclined to play more, especially those that want to measure their performance on the leaderboards.
I think the yapping from you has to come to an end. Sitting here claiming left and right, even considering yourself and your clan some of the best players in the world. Where were your clan in season 29 when there was a paragon cap, I sure as hell didn’t see you anywhere to be found.
But ty none the less for the endless amounts of reading, we all get a laugh from reading. You’re one of the true omegakekker content creators of D3.
I don’t think anyone even remotely intelligent questions this at this point. The only people who try and gaslight people on cheaters are cheaters. They do this in hopes of getting the radar off them.
You can post a video of a cheater who says out loud “I’m cheating” and you’ll still get people pretending to be skeptical. Don’t fall for it.
Putting botters into 1 bag is wrong. There are competitive botters and there are casual botters.
Competitive botters are doing everything possible to get that top spot, so they can brag to their friends about being #1 on a LB the vast majority of the universe doesn’t care about. These are the obvious cheaters.
Casual botters are using the bot to do activities they do not want to do. Bounties, Visions, regular rifts, and/or leveling up gems. Many of these cheaters keep their times reasonable (like 12 hours or less), to avoid being caught up in the ban ripples that get those handful of top cheaters.
Casual botters definitely make up the majority of the bot community. While they aren’t going to wreck the LBs, they still deserve the same fate. A big fat ban.
