From VentureBeat interview that was just released, it sounds like they want to start with an authentic experience and then make changes if the players want them.
There’s no point in arguing with people about their subjective personal experiences. The objective fact of the matter is that it is far, far better to play in a group - except for rune farming.
While I’m not just trying to assume you are wrong, It would be much more helpful if you explain why group play is more efficient. I feel like 8 players can farm much more quickly in 8 separate games than together in 1 game with slightly more item drops? Am I wrong?
Can you help me understand with the logic and not the statement?
I was simply giving you the truth so that you can consider it before expressing your beliefs onto others without proof. I don’t care how it impacts you but I was concerned for others.
I super doubt that ploot would facilitate that. It would reduce player interaction by automatically distributing gear. At least with FFA everyone sees what dropped.
OT, forgive me, but did you see the meme about TFES? it was a (obviously photoshopped) tweet saying, “The Flat Earth Society - with members all around the globe!”
I’m not for P.loot, but I am against a mechanic that pits players against each other to suck up all the loot and leave nothing for the others. A better D2 will have addressed this glaring flaw. However P.loot isn’t the right option for D2 because the drop rates are based on the current loot system. With P.loot you are multiplying the drop rates for legendary items, flooding the market with spam, and making low/mid tier gear less rewarding on drop. IMO the only system that would be viable for D2R is an inventory roll on pick up. Just like your classic MMO. The person that starts the world picks the loot rules, when you trigger the loot rule you roll. That is the only thing that address’s this flaw while not affecting the economy. Those who don’t like it can start their own worlds or join worlds without the rule. If they can’t find any worlds with the rules they want then it is probably because those rules are generally unfavorable.
In the meantime, it would be great just to have a /roll number generator in chat for when you play with friends. A starting point for our own community of friends.
