I was in every single post, guaranteed. Still, dev’s should’ve known better to listen to knee jerk reactions from people testing barb for the first time. The 2nd ptr shouldn’t have been only at blizzcon and only for console. They didn’t have time to test anything.
This is patently not true. You can check my post history from the last week and see what I’m talking about.
We fought it tooth and nail. The CG Team opted to listen to some nonsense.

I am just as pissed as you are and I am not even a Barb player. I seen this cr@p happen with the monk build several years ago where they nerfed it so that it was literally unplayable, with the Morticks brace for the Barb only to be brought out when it is non-essential, with the wiz and now with a build that could have made the Barb viable. If there are NO requests for nerfs, they would not happen.

ok i’m hyped for d4 and barb on that game but wtf blizz that nerf was too big and makes me questioning playing next season at all,

bazooka is getting a nerf apparently but with this barb nerf, chantodo is way stronger than rend barb. so much for balance

Where did you see this/your evidence/source?
Also how do we know if chantodos isn’t getting further nerfed? The mechanism that they used to nerf it isn’t exactly displayed on the screen and as far as if know the patch changes are only on console at blizz con which I don’t think many of the attendees are experienced with/have the time to do rigorous testing
I am not sure if chantodo is getting further nerfed. I am just going by the initial nerf on ptr which was 4/7? and was 3 to 3.5 grs i think?
The bazooka nerf was from jessirocks stream from blizzcon with svr. He mentioned when you enter archon you lose the channeling buff.

would be “funny” if they don’t decide to do another ptr only to see that crusader might be op now, monk is still dead in the water and ww/rend now underperforms again -.-
i actually quit my wow subscription (classic) when i found out…if thats it for next season i won’t play…again
The only thing i would be interested with monk is to try a tempest rush + ep setup since the set buffs ALL dmg now. And yeah would be funny if sader is super op. Atleast for heavens fury rgk its a big buff.

I actually advocated for nerfing the top 2 wizards builds that were clear outliers. I realize that this does not fit the false narrative that I am a vindictive wizard main. I play most demon hunters, witch doctors, and necromancers. Objectively, wizards were too strong. Barbs and monks were too weak and needed buffs.
I agree with the nerf to necromancers and wizards. This season I only played necromancer.

No. I advocate for bringing underperforming classes up and nerfing clearly OP builds. The developers once said that they would prefer the top build for all classes to be within 3 GRs of each other. This seems like a worthwhile endeavor.
They really do need to revert this bs nerf. Wtf is the point of buffing a class just to revert it back to where it was. Why the heck cant you start small and work your way up if needed with a nerf. Like perhaps instead of lamentation buffing it 200% drop it to 150 first and try that. But no lets just revert it to the same pos it was before bc people who probably never played barb and didnt know how bad it was say its op get their way. Do you not realize barb has been BOTTOM tier for like the past 15or more seasons. Suddenly theyre brought to wiz levels and the nerf train starts. Why must you crush a class that has needed love for years and years. I am so gd sick of having to play wiz to be competitive and they are still kings even after their nerf. Barb nerf was completely unjustified and i sincerely hope you devs 2nd guess your decision here bc you always go too far. Peeps ask for an inch and you always take a mile. You couldve easily tweaked it to keep the haters happy and the fans of it satisfied but no you just had to gut the whole dam thing. Yet you wonder why fans are beginning to hate your corporation and cancel their subscriptions. Ive been a huge fan since i was 13 yrs old playing d1. I would walk 2 miles everyday to use the computers at a college campus near my house to take advantage of the cable internet bc then we only had dial up. The amount of love i have lost for you all at blizzard over the years is rediculous. I have 0 faith in you all at this point and it breaks my heart bc i have been a longtime dedicated fan playing every single game youve ever released. But these days you take things too far and my faith and trust in you is gone. I am so disapointed in the devs and in this nerf i dont even wanna touch next season now. Hope you think things through more thoroughly in the future.

I am not that optimistic, it changed nothing to the fury hungry hf bd. Aside from 2x dmg, play style / gearing its not so different from lod version which is very demanding on perma or near perma ak cdr and enormous rcr. Its much better if akkhan geta buffed.
