I’m not talking about addressing concerns, I’m talking about “going after” (not that I’m saying that anyone in particular is doing that) the team or Nev. Releasing things to the public is out of their control and they do the best that they can.
It’s better to stay focused on getting Blizzard to Revert the Nerf.
To that end…
Revert the Nerf!
Revert the Nerf!
Revert the Nerf!
I think with S18 ending this Sunday, Blizzard might not afford to be able to wait till next week just to respond to this. New season typically starts the following Friday after the previous ends, occasionally 2 Fridays after, and if it is on 22nd, then the revamped patch might have a 2nd phase PTR, and it has to be next week at the latest, and communications best to come by this week before S18 ends. If S19 going to start on 15th without further PTR, that makes communications even more urgent. Managing expectations is extremely important from marketing and customer service point of view. Look at the pleas of so many here, it is too costly and risky to ignore imho.
I’m tired of playing rats and rats and rats… Also, vyrs and vyrs and vyrs got their time too, but we can have something diferent without the nerf. Please listen to the players… the good ones that have played hours in ptr and making tests, builds, really trying to get the maximum of their barbs.
I was really happy to play s19 just because this buff, and then, it simple killed my will to play. Let the barb players get back to the game, at least once. The community is going to be happy and loud about it
A few people have been accused of calling for barb nerfs simply because they don’t like the class/build, but this guy flat-out admits to it.
I don’t know if Blizz actually considered his threat when making their decision (I’d like to think they have for backbone than that), and honestly, that’s beside the point. There’s nothing wrong with disliking a class or build, but actively trying to ruin the fun others based solely on that dislike is just petty.
-EDIT-
My bad, guys. There were two posts in that thread with twitch links, and I thought they went to the same clip, but that’s not the case. The one I quoted was the full stream, while the second was a cut version showing only the incriminating part.
If that’s the case, then I take it back. The clip I saw (and thought that I had linked) only showed the incriminating part.
-EDIT-
I see what happened now. There were two posts in that thread with twitch links, and I thought they went to the same clip, but one I clicked (not the one I quoted) was a cut version.
There’s going to be just clips of his remarks on both sides depending on who posts what and their agenda. It’s obvious there are people from all classes that know this nerf is extreme and uncalled for and it is the people behind scenes at blizzard who makes the final call.
Just remember, all the troll posts I have seen saying their glad about the nerf, just look like children and the devs will see this too.
Yeah, I caught it too late. I assumed both links led to the same clip, but that wasn’t the case. I quoted the first post because it had more context, while the other just said “here is the clip, hilarious.”
As a player who only plays first couple weeks of every season and usually plays solo because of only certain classes/builds are allowed to do high gr speed runs, I was really excited to play Barb on s19 and maybe finally go beyond 1k paragon. Please don’t take this away from us casual players Blizzard. Or even better make the lamentation 200-250% I think that would be a welcome surprise for everyone who’s been following these threads for the past couple of days.
This is giving me that old deja-vu feeling, didn’t they wait about a week to acknowledge and do anything about the Necromancer exploit, back when the Necro was released? Of coarse by then the damage was already done.
Sorry guys, but the hard truth is that they don’t give a damn. I’ve seen this happen in the past, I’m not holding my breath.
At least this community has made such a positive impression on me that I might just stick with the game just for it. Let them trolls dominate with their cheesy OP builds, who cares. Single player it is.
I agree with you on this. A difference of opinion is just that. It is a video game that many of us play for enjoyment as a diversion from real life. If it weren’t for Lord Fluffy (and potentially others who shared similar information), no one would know about the change to the lamentation affix until the final patch notes. We can respectfully discuss the magnitude of the rend buff.
I want to clarify something: It’s fine to attack someone’s opinions. If someone says something that is clearly bunko or flat-out insubstantial, it’s perfectly fine to rip that opinion to shreds. What we should avoid, unless we have no choice but to spit roast a troll, are personal attacks.
I’m not pointing the finger at anyone. Over in the Barb forum, for example, I have a lot of respect for Felix and his contributions to mechanics discussions. The dude is generally a very resourceful contributor to the community. But his recent statement along the lines of “any buff is just as much fun, whether its +5 or +10” is just hollow garbage talk. I’m not saying that he is hollow garbage, because he’s not, but that opinion certainly is (and this thread helps to prove it). Of course, there are certain trolls that we Barbs have battled over and over, and sooner or later, you just gotta let them know where they stand.
I think it’s to late to keep this thread in the line of respect. This thread already looks like any twitter skirmish, basically people will bash you with insults in hand if you don’t think like they do (this has happened a lot of times already in this thread, and it’s bad because is against the code of conduct).
It’s sad because attitudes like that stain the entire barb cause.
