Diablo IV Announcement Discussion

I am so hyped for this. I’ve always wanted a sort of MMO for Diablo. Looking forward to seeing how this develops! It just sucks its most likely years away from release.

If you played games from that decade, you’d know without a shadow of a doubt that '99 games didn’t even touch this level of graphics. The design and artwork are phenomenal and match the Diablo world absolutely beautifully.

With 2 more classes to announce I suspect you will get your wish. The Amazon / Demon hunter is both D2 & D3. They would have a large hole in it without some form of bow/crossbow user. With the skill system I saw you might also squeak out other martial weapon use. BTW, I did see a crossbow in one of the inventory slots.

Hmm.

Druid back, yay. Would have liked to see more of what makes the Sorceress distinct from the Wizard and the previous Sorceress.

Open world and mounts, interesting. But it sounds like it will be repeating D3’s biggest mistake, and require a constant connection that in the past Blizzard has been unable to maintain on its end.

Soloable, but maybe not world bosses and trading will mess up loot drops.

Not sure what to think yet.

Also, remember that they (the developers) want the system requirements to be accessible to as many as possible.

The cinematics are still not right. Ok there are less explosions, and “bigness” but it’s still not there.

In D1 and D2 cinematics, there are less talking. Everything is subtle and there are undertone. One does not need to show a monster or everyone’s face and attitude. In this d4 cinematic, Blizzard wants to make sure every child understands. Too much talks.
Respect our intelligence.

Some things are good, but good enough is not something we expect.

What Blizzard still does not understand, in gothic horror, evil is hidden. When you show evil, you make it beatable. They should find the right balance.

Edit: in every good movie, you understand things hours after watching it. Because it’s subtle. Sometimes one must watch 10 times to understand. d4 cinematic is too simple.

Very nice trailer.
The D4 gameplay looks like a top-down MMO.
My question is - when is it coming out?
I don’t want to wait another year.

In the tones of John Oliver… Cool.

Now where are the patch notes for 2.6.7 and when is season 19 starting?

We have the next two years to drool about D4.

How a sorcerer(ss) become better at casting fireball on Diablo?
Diablo 1 - Reading tomes
Diablo 2 - Investing skill points
Diablo 3 - Finding a bigger and sharper axe.
Diablo 4 - ???

My faith has been restored in Diablo’s future.

Thank you Blizzard. I was very upset after last year’s Blizzcon, so this really helped make things right. I am very impressed by both the D4 opening cutscene announcement, as well as the gameplay trailer.

I know good things take time, and evil things take even longer… but if you can put the development of D4 on fast-track, I know millions of us will be happy to pay $59.99 and potentially more depending on how you guys choose to monetize it (whether its in-game cosmetics, stash space, etc).

Thank you for listening to so many of us. We felt so abandoned, so its a great feeling knowing the gaming company that I grew up loving, is still the same game company I remember.

Hell is coming, Brother…

Hell is coming.

There must be an Archer Class!

Diablo = Rogue
Diablo II = Amazon
Diablo III = Demon Hunter

Diablo IV = Valkyrie (?)

Edit: They should also be able to wield Spears, Axes, Polearms, Maces, etc. Both 1-Hand and 2-Handed.

Diablo Immortal release date when???

At first I was unimaginably excited and hyped. I mean it looks perfect. But then i realized something…

If a single thing in the game, boss, dungeon, quest or whatever is not soloable then I’m done with Diablo. If D4 is going back to the roots, don’t force me to play with other people to complete all the content. I don’t remember looking for groups in D1 just because there was no other way to experience the whole game. This would be heartbreaking end of Diablo for me and I hope I’m wrong about that.

как говорится всё новое ,хорошо забытое старое . тут сразу по роликам видно копипаст лост арка , часть с дьябло 2 часть с дьябло 3 , кажется у разработчиков просто нет идей …

Making endgame content group only, leaves me worried about how that is going to work. I certainly don´t want to see another WOW premade group system. It just creates a hostile atmosphere for casuals, who might not be as good or skilled as others.

I will miss being able to solo hard content tbh.

It all looks great, my only observation is that maybe there is something strange going on with the lights/reflexions: too bright maybe (someone that know more about this things will be able to explain it a lot better).

Things i would like to see:

1- Items from D1, 2 and 3 coming back: and i mean mostly the item names and similar models, i understand if the effects are different. I like the legends (text) of the items of diablo 3, maybe could bring that back.

2 - Item legend (related to “1”): would be nice if the items keep a record of the strongest monster we kill with them and maybe the player who owned them in the past: this would be great over all if trade is posible.

3 - It is always nice to have a good way to find people to play with, i think that is an important thing to have. But at the same time, I like to hear that party isn’t mandatory, i think one should be able to play the full story and be able to get all the rewards without play in party, so, it should be an optional fun thing to do.

Ride a horse maybe?

As long as it is solo-friendly. Not really interested in MMO but what can you do.
Besides that and always online, it looks pretty awesome.
Cinematics was amazing too
