Where can i preoder it? you guys nailed it.
SOLD!
TBH. I WAS very excited after the cinematics trailer.
But then this changed into disappointment. Why?
- In the gamplay trailer all I saw was grey and washed out. dark doesn’t have to mean colorless imho.
- All this MMO stuff. Why? Diablo is the embodiment of ARPGs. Why do you have to add MMO features?
- PVP + trading = P2W
- Mounts + game affecting items for mounts + trading = P2W
- Trading = endless botters (always was and ever will be). I thougt they learned their lesson
I am aware that this is a very early version and there will be changes (maybe also because of our feedback). But in this state the game will not be an instant buy for me. My biggest fear of all these MMO elements is that Blizz might justify a monthly fee with it. Like D4 has elements like an MMO - why not monetize it like our MMO (WoW).
Very unimpressed with Diablo 4 material. Seems like Diablo 2.5 at best.
Im cautiously excited for all of the changes; my only true concern is…
NECROMANCER CLASS
… also a bit worried its going to have a subscription fee
You need to keep in mind that what we are seeing in the gameplay trailers is content that is 2-3 years before release? Blizzard polishes things to look better as the game reaches completion. Diablo 3 was largely (Rightly) critized for looking like a cartoon and feeling way to silly.
The MMO aspects such as large-seamless open world and world pvp are a welcome sight, but they should also add singleplayer for those who don’t want it.
PvP and Trading is one of the best aspects of Diablo 2 and is a significant reason why people rejected Diablo 3’s RMAH and Diablo 3 in general.
Mounts I don’t think is a big deal if they make the requirement for them gold but make gold only useful for buying items from vendors, repairing like in D2.
Without trading, Diablo 4 is dead on arrival to many players. They say they open trading but said some items are soulbound. I hate this. Blizzard fixed the no trading problem, stop creating new problems. Let all items be able to be traded. The more itemization from D2 they put in D4, the better it will be.

I do. That’s what I wrote in my last passage.
But you have to be aware that you compare trading in a nearly 20 year old game with a yet to come game. D2 also had a massive botter and duper problem, didn’t it? So what makes you think that in times where botters and cheaters spawn like rats in every new game this will not be a problem in D4? With D3 Blizzard proofing us that they either don’t care about or can’t do anything severe against botters.
The ban waves in the past were a joke. Too view, too late.
I’m sure it will not even take a week after release of D4 and we see the first threads about botters that destroy trading. Mark my words.
Guys, if you can add one class to D 4, what class would you choose? I would choose Warlock, since the gates of heaven are closed, paladins will not make sense on D 4 but why not introduce a hellish version of a human? A human who bargains for power and use mostly summoning sigils to summon demons, curses similar to necromancer and blood magic who expends his own life points in order to deal massive damage?

Necromancer, D2 Necromancer.

I would love to see necro too.
I mean, few games implemented necromancer in a cool way. IMO Diablo 2 and M&M VIII had the best implementations of necromancers, while Dragon Age Inquisition has the worst

Trading to me was one of the best aspects of D2. Yeah there were botters, but there are botters in D3. There are botters in every game. Don’t remove game functionality because of a few bad apples. That punishes everybody.

I just love how complex the summoner got with the addition of runewords such as beast/pride. The whole Iron golem taking all the properties of the item it was used on was such a great concept.
Yes, Iron Golem was soo cool. My favorite D2 pet. Even when i play as poisonmancer or bonemancer, i pick this spell.
As for warlock suggestion, if he can “dominate” demons (not bosses obviously) like on Ultima Online is possible to summon Daemon and tame Dragons, it would be epic too…
Looks Great I just hope a year after release it is not riddled with botters in cheaters like d3 make it pay monthly to play or add microtransactions or something to keep the ban hammer slamming on the cheaters… !!

Having untradeable items is bad. I like farming loot due to the inherent value the loot may have. I like the feeling of getting rich in the game. Locking items where you can’t trade them destroys this.
You are destroying what makes finding loot fun. You can argue “people like hunting for upgrades”. That’s false. They like progression. If they find a mythic that can’t be traded nor do they want to a build a character to use it, you just took the value away from finding a good item by not allowing it to be traded and took away an opportunity of progression for their current character. At the very least there should be 1 time trade for ALL items.

Hey there!
I wonder if it would be possible to implement a customizable char light radius for those who like a more darker gameplay style.
I saw Wrath of the Berserker in the demo’s.
I worry a little about this and cool down reduction as a stat, 5 years after release are we going to be in the same place - Wrath as a mandatory skill and it’s Perma Wrath, along with all the other 10 or 20 second Godly Modes with other classes. I just as soon be godly with my selection in skills and skill tree and gear. The power creep potential and mandatory skill use worries me.
Sorry, but
NO MORE “LADDER”, PARAGON, TORMENT LEVELS PLEASE
I just want to feel that my time spent on a game builds up to something more than these things.
Ladder and Paragon was a nice attempt, but… no.
Levels need reworking too. I mean, Torment 16? …really…?
D2:LoD (before 1.10 patch) was my life… I pretty much stopped playing after ladder was implemented. I get it, but… yeah. I also played and enjoyed D3 for a couple seasons.
I feel that all players would appreciate that the time spent should equate to a well crafted character. Regardless of the type of crafting, gear customizations, “best build” that you’re following, etc.
I’m scared to say, but I’m kinda optimistic from what I’m seeing so far.
Good luck Blizz
I love comments where they say if this and this is not i in it etc i wont buy the game…
In fact everyone will buy it to see what they created ^^

In fact, lots of people will never pre-order it, and lots of people will wait until it’s been out for a while so they can see some independent reviews from people they trust before deciding whether to buy it at all.
