D4 Internal testing has begun. BETA SOON!?

Interesting article here where apparently there was a leak about a family and friends internal alpha test. Someone’s little brother or cousin streamed a 30sec clip showing the character select menu  so looks like it could be real.

Beta soon hopefully!

No. Months away from beta. F&F alpha started.

Broooooo you can’t stream that… how do they pick these “testers”… it even says PRIVATE on the guys screen… and do they not know what NDA means? lol

That being said, it is exciting to see that tid bit of the game

More leaks here.

There’s an “easy” mode.

YAY! Finally we can have a high skill game and difficulties designed for each skill level.

Hardcore confirmed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Blizzard leaked these to pick our interest and keep D4 in the headlines. It’s a common practice among companies promoting their products.

It appears that someone missed this.

Don’t blow up the hype. It’s never a good thing.

I mean Hardcore had long been confirmed, in fact around the same time when D4 was unveiled:

Q: Will there be Hardcore?
A: Yes! We’ve loved this feature ever since it started as a player-created and self-imposed challenge in the original Diablo.

Beta is September, yeah, non-NDA.

They’ll probably start it at the same time LA drops their new raid in order to take the viewers attention away.

At that point what will be left unknown is the D4 monetization. I’d bet it will be soft subscription based like HS mixed with MTXs.

I mean Diablo games always had different levels of difficulty.

The “easy” mode was just “normal”.

Man, I thought Blizzard was my friend but I don’t have a friends and family alpha!

I assume if there is still a lot of things to work through even though they now have a solid release date. These games really live off the systems more than the story so even if they have the story under wrap there is still a lot of feedback to collect.

F&F is pretty good at getting a specific sort of feedback, helps them find problems that they were too close to the game to see as problems and also avoids the excessive and often unfocused feedback you get from the more general release.

Very true it appears that some people are 3 years late to the party.

The last hype train crash and burned in 2018 as soon as they said, “Do you guys not have phones?”

meh, cant believe people are still butthurt over this, how sad.

I wonder what the “Explore Hell on your own” in the Veteran difficulty means.
Very good to know the game will start with 2 difficulty levels, let’s hope it’s better handled than in D3.

It’s not just Blizzard games, it’s any game. Like CP2077 most recently, No mans sky is where it should have been 17 years ago, and i cant remember more, but there were plenty. Some will be hyped, but people should realy be cautious with these things. Keep expectations low, even when it’s just a date for an alpha or beta test.

“butthurt” no, just stating a fact deal with it.

what fact, exactly? i did not see any.

so yeah i just see an butthurt comment.

Absolutely agreed.

Promoting a phone game to a large group of hardcore PC fans? You don’t see how that’s tone-deaf?

why? because DI was shown the year before d4? turn it around and no one would have batted en eye about that comment.

just a bunch of salty nerds lol
