Sam3e error on mine too. followed the fix guides but nothing happened. Looks like this error is on the Blizzard servers
Looks like services are recovering. Give it a try again. Just note that full recovery can take a moment so if you get an error give it a few minutes and try again.

So i tried the scan and fix thingā¦ it failedā¦ now it says update but it fails every timeā¦

Sameā¦ Game says it needs an update - but just get the whoops error message. Update Error loop.

add me to the list same errro 395002, now the game is stuck on update, it keeps trying to update gets half way then says opps something broke try again its been 15+ tries again over hour now to no avail.
Its specific to D3 though, as hearthstone and heros of the storm on the blizz app updated with no issues. just D3 wont go, so i cant even launch the game since the update throws continuous error failure.

it may be back for you but itās not back for me. I am stuck in an update/verify loop that fails. Wasnāt a problem last night.
It works on another machine, so MY issue is now tied to this PC. Repair doesnāt work. Guess Iāll have to uninstall/reinstall the game.
Edit 2: uninstall/reinstall fixed my issue. So if all else fails for you, give that a shot.

same, did every troubleshoot available, even reinstalling the launcher. loop update then this: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

Now i get on the blkizz app D3 refuses to update so i cant even launch it

thier is no fix for this error as re-installing and all the other trouble shooting tips for this error as well as the 395002 error do not work as ive done all of them now. the scan repair get so 99% then throws the above error every single time so it never quite finishes to actually have the game say āplayā vs āupdateā which it is now stuck on endless loop of something broke error

i uninstalled the game off of the computer and reinstalled. works again
Yesā¦ you will lose stuff when you uninstall. #$%$^%!! Iām going to forget this game ever existed for a whileā¦ other stuff I need to do any way.

I can retrieve the character list but all of the characters are gone
I have had this error for almost a month just after ptr closed and yes blizzard knows about it and said that they are aware and have no fix at this time

Your issue and this thread are different issues. This thread pertains to a system error/crash yesterday that was resolved fairly quickly. I want to mention this in case others see you post and confuse any problems they are having with the isolated issue from yesterday.

Just to clarify, no you will not lose any characters, items, progress, etc when you reinstall the game. Everything is stored server-side so wiping the game off your system and reinstalling it has no effect on your progress. Make sure that you are logging back in with the same Battle.net email address that you used previously, and back into the same region (Americas, Europe, etc) since that is where progress is saved. If you need help figuring out which account or email address your progress is tied to you are welcome to submit a ticket and Customer Support can try to assist.
