Playing Barb, at the very beginning of Act IV, I approach Tyrael and Imperious. Tyrael begins to speak and it crashes. Above is the code it gives me

This is Campaign mode.
Windows 10 - InspectorReporter created 3 files… App-0.dmp, d3debug.txt, and ErrorReport.Bug

Howdy Squishy,

It looks like the Nvidia driver hasn’t been updated in a while so grab the latest version from here. After that, try the steps here.

Taking forever to load into game and then crashing or even get into the game and crashes when entering either rift or grift…

It looks like everyone is getting the same C0000005 error. We will collect these reports and get it further investigated. In the mean time, definitely try the steps here to help us narrow down the problem.

Just updated my GeForce drivers with the new patch Monday.
Updated Diablo yesterday.
Got to Act IV last night, stopped for the night to play Valhalla.
Went to Act IV today, crash after crash after crash.
Security off.
Nothing else open but Discord.
Ran the Scan and Repair twice.
Diablo III Act IV crashes.

Similar is happening on console (xbox one) same act different zone. Can you bump someone on the console side to look at my post?

I am also crashing at the start of Act IV as I approach Tyrael in campaign. On Windows 19041.630 and GTX1060 with 457.30 driver. I’ve tried it 3 times and I crashed all 3 times.

Most recent one is code 9EF67DBF-3C08-486E-991E-BB5454B5496D

EDIT: I seem to be crashing when starting a new game at the beginning of Act 4, but not when I start at the end of Act 3 and kill Azmodan and then progress into Act 4.

It’s also affecting consoles…

…so I highly doubt it’s graphics drivers / operating systems.

I also tried to kill azmodan again and then go to act IV and it works. Not solution to problem but I can play now. :slight_smile:

Thank you for the workaround TinneOnnMuin… that worked for me also.

It almost looks like “something” is triggered in the game when you kill Asmodan… something critical that is missing if you change the starting quest to the Fall of the High Heavens in Act IV.

I think that this would make the issue a bug… not a Tech Support issue.

I bypassed the first crash from the opening ACT IV by starting at end of ACT III.
But it crashes again now that I closed the game and restart at ACT IV part 2.
So it seems the saving in ACT IV makes something broken. This is very frustrating bug …
