Gee I wonder why. This situation is getting more laughable by the week. This is shaping up to be one of the biggest launch disasters in gaming history.
I almost feel sorry for Blizzard at this point. I just can’t help it, they seem so oblivious to what makes a great game in the 21st century, and it’s sad watching them flail and sink deeper and deeper beyond the point of mediocrity.
What has happened to Blizzard? So sad. Even moreso for those who didn’t do the smart thing & cancel their preorder like I did, and will have to suffer through months and potentially years of playing such a subpar game, before it finally becomes playable.
In comparison, it took D3 several years and multiple game director firings before it became what it is today. And you’d think the D4 devs would’ve learned something from that.
I think they also streamed on Twitch and that’s where PezRadar got questions from chat at the end. Youtube comments/chat was therefore disabled to make things simpler.
Glad they invited a real content creator and not one of those “Whos that?” guys that some fanbois try pretending everyone knows on the forums in order to increase their notoriety.
Blizzard lost a lot of their most valuable/talented employees in most all of their games. Heck, have you seen WoW? They’re left with Ion who is so bad, he’s a meme.
I think for many, the rocky momentum of D3 left a sour taste in their mouth that they’re expecting it here. I’m not expecting anything, that way, I’m not disappointed. If the game launches a success, good for them (and me). If not, back to Zelda.
I watched one of rhykkers D3 guides recently, and it was quite disappointing. There were factual errors, seemed like he was reading from a prompt, and he didn’t even use his own gameplay (he used wudis). He clearly hadn’t himself played the build he was making a guide about. I know he was an active D3 players back in the days, all credit for that, but it was clear that he doesn’t play the game much any longer, doesn’t spend time on it, and doesn’t know it well. He’s got a lot of followers, but he doesn’t know D3.
So that’s why rhykker no longer is an authority in D3, and why you come across as inexperienced if you refer to rhykker guides when talking about D3, instead of the regular D3 streamers. Instead people look to the maxroll people and others for D3 (wudijo and raxxanterax the two biggest, but there are many others), that actively play the game many hours a day, know it in and out, and consistently place at the very top of leaderboards. So while they are not as big as rhykker in terms of followers/subscribers/viewers, they are the biggest D3 streamers, and they are the best ppl to go to for D3 guides.
Hope that clears it up.
For D4 things are different ofc, and I assume rhykker will play that actively so maybe he will make accurate guides again, who knows. Personally, coming from D3 myself, I’d prefer wudi on the panel, but I get why they’d invite him over the active D3 content creators, as he will bring in more people.
I really like Rhykker, I was hoping he was going to ask a lot more questions instead they mostly talked about what many of us already knew and it was as if Rhykker was used as a prop. I will see what he has to say on his gaming news highlights today hopefully he is not under an NDA. Many of the people on the D4 forum just complain about everything. Up next is the D4 server slam, bring it on.
