Rhykker gets to play the endgame and ask a few questions, but Joseph P does most of the talking. Just give Joseph P the microphone and send the other 3 home, what was the point of having a special guest? I hope they covered Rhykker’s trip.
Due to very basic marketing reasons?
Is there a problem or actual question here or are you just working on your post count?
The didn’t need him. But he did do a lot of nodding and he asked a few questions from his viewers so I guess there’s that.
Probably, yes.
Rhykker was pretty much the Host from what I could tell. He is quite comfy on camera and is someone most folks are familiar with. He was the one to follow the outline and ask some questions - sort of keep things moving along. The point was to have the Devs do most of the talking
I like Rhykker a lot, but we are used to hearing him chat on stream. This was supposed to be Devs - and yes, one was more comfy talking than the other which is fine. I don’t care, as long as they share info.
I thought he did a great job moving the interview along, providing his own perspective on some in-house test content, and asking some viewer questions. Then Adam followed up with some questions from the live chat on Twitch.
IDK, it was pretty solid. Not as energetic as Brandy’s interviews, but very informative.
I think Joe P presents himself well enough, it’s not a bad thing if one person does most of the talking. Some people aren’t as good as conveying their thoughts and explanations in layman’s terms and there’s nothing wrong with that.
So do I he is the only one a watch regular. I was hoping he was going to ask a lot of new question. But instead they mostly talked about things many of us already know. Maybe the streams are for people who are new and do not know anything. I watched it twice and dozed off both times.
Largely, yes. The questions seem to be “things the average viewer/forum poster/twitter user is currently asking about over and over”. People who pay really close attention will have picked up every crumb. I have come to realize though that the majority don’t pay attention and they do need to address things a second or third time if people are still missing the point and asking.
Correct many of us have watched every stream, every interview and read every blog. Some want to dig into everything others just want a fast answer. They do not want to put any effort into anything.
Very true we see it with the blogs and patch notes some people do not bother to read them and post questions on the forum that have already been covered in the blogs and notes.
To fake being in touch with the community lol
Streamer clout is probably the easiest and cheapest way for modern game developers to market their games. I think it’s kind of sad that streamers have so much clout personally but it is what it is.
To make people feel “closer” to the devs bringing someone who’s not from them.
But yeah if you leave Rhykker out, they could just sent a video of them talking with dramatic camera movements and angles because the content they brought was absolutely not informative at all.
Because of his sexy man voice obviously. That voice starting the intro immediate grabs you.
This helped, of course.
It was nice having him there, either way. Now he gets to share his hands on experience with the community.
I hope he can go into detail about the endgame and is not under an NDA.
what they are doing quite in touch with the community so far
which is a scary thought considering hes a D3 andy
When he explained how Druid went from his Least / Worst to Favorite based on EGCB it just validated what I’ve been saying all along, can’t judge the game on low levels and the power will shift as people gear up and get higher level, certain classes just scale better with gear and what not.
Considering they said he played a lot while he was there, I imagine we will see vids from him about some things similar to what they are doing with Wudijo.
tell that to WASD, map overlay, lower values, single player, etc
Also, listening to what good ideas the community has is not the same as listening to what the community wants
True I am not sure how some people are coming up with class build guides already. When things have changed and the game has not even launched. Just look at how many people on this forum were crying about things in a level 25 one zone 4 day beta.
