still no fix. this is so sad.
thank you so much. at least I can start the game and now it stuns in the menu - stay awhile and listen ā¦
I am not upgrading to Windows 10. Even if I do there is no guarantee it will work. I see people on Windows 10 having the same problem. I just wish they had better logging to see whatās going on.
did blizzard said something about this topic?
too busy buying their new yacht to respond

canāt play / launch the game either.
i could the first day though.
After trying just about every suggestion, windowed mode, running as admin, updating display drivers, disabling either on board or dedicated graphics, clearing out parts of the data file and repairing, running the game directly instead of the launcher, upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I finally have a solution that allows me to open the game ā¦
Booting into safe mode with either minimal or Network will at least allow the game to load before it yells about being connected to battlenet (not sure why safe mode with networking didnāt work) ā¦
Mind you just on the Diablo 2 splash screen Iām maxing one of my cores and close to 4 gigs of RAM, I saw a suggestion saying that it could be related to the game maxing out the graphics card ram too quickly and crashing going to look into how to limit it at the command line if there is even such a thing
Iām also going to try and selectively enable/disable services to get it to boot normally to see if thatās viable
If anybody else wants to join in the safe mode troubleshooting please be my guest
Durr silly me just click the globe to enable the nic when in safe mode with networking, thereās a reason I havenāt upgraded to Windows 10 yet before this I was happy with how seven worked, the game runs like absolute garbage 10 20 second Lags from clicking buttons on the tutorial screens but at least it does work so progress
same here. so happy I pre paid.
So any news from Blizz? I keep getting the same errorā¦
on my laptop the same error, but my old, from 2011 i7 with ge force 560 - it is working. win10
So do we have at least a single person who was able to run it on windows 7? I would like to spend some time to debug the issue if only i was given some hint where to see full crash log or something like that.
I was giving a refund because my 5 year old machine that can play d3 and newer games, canāt play d2r. Very sad days
dont u think they will fix it for release? cant imagine it stays like this.
i playing d2r with 10 yers old PC
i have windows 10 personally and i get the crash anyway.
Typical, Blizzard send me an email saying my pc was not good enough to play lol and yet we have contradictory information
the fun is, i could play with my surface laptop of 2018 with a geforce 1060 but cant play it with a surface laptop of 2021 with a onboard intel GPU which is better than the geforce of 2018.
Still not workingā¦ tried a scan and repair, scanned and ārepairedāā¦ same error message.
EDIT: Blizz released a patch. Working now. (note. Update graphics card drivers)
