Cant open due to error: F5DEACA7-0F7B-4C11-B702-E85B6B5E8063

Being a remastered game and Blizzard advertising “We’re only going to change the graphics” I was like “Yesh! it’s going to run under windows 7”. Now my friends are playing and I’m locked out of the fun and they tease me by sending me screenshots.

In all the years, I felt that Blizzard was doing their best to get as many people immersed into their games, and with all the OSes in the past, none has given any problems. There is an optimistic approach towards older platforms/systems, one that I expected being: try it, there’s a 99% chance it will work but no guarantees or support. The last thing I expected was a snobbistic approach being: were validating the checklist and your not on it.

Even if Resurrected would be released for a wider range of OSes, for me the fun has died to such a point that I won’t get that euphoria everyone else is experiencing. Playing it now would only leave a bad taste in my mouth and I’m noticing that I don’t even care at getting involved with it any longer, basically isolating me from my friends on this experience.

It feels that all my positive memories I had of Diablo 2 have now turned into negative frustrations. And if the reasoning behind this is non-technical (which it seems it is) then for that: Blizzard thanks!

I receive the error too, I click Play and it displays an unexpected error message. Laptop is fully updated with hardware drivers and windows updates.

Okey! Guys! I found the solution! - it’s like a “solution”
You can’t play in D2R If your laptop/PC has Integrated Graphics Card, such as Intel HD Graphic or Intel UHD Graphic and others!!!
Go to the Windows Devices Manager, find on the list “Graphic Card”, select it by RMBC (right mouse button click) and click “turn off device”. It will turn off your graphic card, and then back to battle.net, game will run but will be laggy as f. Ain’t gonna go to the menu.
So that’s the point. D2R Beta doesn’t support Integrated Graphic Cards… that’s really bad for all the players, since IGC are NOT THAT bad. What’s your thoughts?

yes,i can confirm, disable your Intel Gpu and click to play,…but unplayable, very slow.

Same here… when disable Intel card the game starts, but can’t even select a warrior

This is certainly a sadness! I have a game running on Win10 and it goes without problems. My wife has Win 8.1 and she can’t even start it. And this is just, in fact, a graphic remaster of the game more than a decade ago! Blizzard you are just super! (sarcasm) I’m giving you a standing ovation! Making Win 10 a mandatory system requirement is strange, to say the least. Or it smells like a conspiracy with Microsoft. In any case, I did not expect this. And I always thought that for a company like Blizzard, this is unacceptable! Apparently Blizzard is no longer the same.
P.S. I apologize for my English. I write from Russia, I use an online translator.

Well, lots of us are not using integrated graphic cards and still can’t open this game. So the core problem is somewhere else.

I’m suing for a full Tal Rasha Set on day of release.

My lawyer will be in contact.

Yeah it sucks our laptopts/computers with GC by Intel can’t even be a part of beta but we shouldn’t worry that much. Minimal requirements for D2R are pretty similar to D3, so If you can play in Diablo 3 on your computer, you just need to wait for an official release on 23rd September and you’ll be able to play it. Such a mess with Blizzard… as always : |

What helped me is updating the Intel HD530 driver as well as the Audio driver.
After that it worked for me but it’s just using the onboard Intel instead of the NVidia extra GPU … what results in pretty uggly frame rates …

looks like my old cd key LOL

Disabling your graphics card is indeed the magic trick… but barebly playable for me like this.

Yep - that worked for me now as well.
Disable the Intel GFX in the Device Manager to force the sysem to use the GTX.

didn‘t solve it for me. Still not launching, Win10, nvidia 820M, 8GB RAM

Got the instant crash bug as well. And tbh, this bug isn’t what bothers me anymore.

What bothers me is that there’s a post with 274 replies, most of which are “I also can’t start the game at all”, and there’s no reply from Blizzard. There’s no info in the error message, there’s no anything. And when you try to get to the support pages, you find that Diablo 2 Ressurected, links to the old Diablo 2 game, so there’s no useful info there, while if you go for the forum straight away, you find that it is a Diablo 3 subforum…

It feels as if they didn’t prepare their systems at all for this, and instead just released the open beta and went home for the weekend. Considering how Warcraft 3: Refunded ended up, this complete lack of care for the open beta is reason enough to lose all hope for the game. It is also quite horrible, not to mention illegal in Europe, that they’ve obfuscated their refund process. It took me a while to find out how to submit a ticket for refunding it.

The lack of response says it all for me. We are going to be left for dead going forward.
I guess a refund is the only solution and to give up on blizzard and go back to POE

Only works for me when change w7 for w10 .
Now im playing.
So for the people who has W7…sry, never is going to run, need change to w10

After trying every idea people had, I upgraded to windows 10 and it fixed my problem. I was scared to upgrade didn’t want to loose anything or pay for it. I did not have to do a full install just an upgrade so nothing got lost and second I did some google searching and found that the tool will still allow you to upgrade for free.

D3 does not require Win10

all your applications work after the upgrade without reinstall? Like graphic and office programms?
