Maybe Blizzard donāt give a damn about it I donāt see any response from themā¦ Very disapointingā¦ Again!
@GhostDog yeah I agree shows how much blizzard cares about itās players not a single update. or anything unbelievable.
I had the exact same issue all the time. Game crashed when opening a game. I tried everything. Changing settings, Scan & Repair, Clear Cache, reinstalling PTR, recopying character, 32/64-Bit, No-Sound, etc. Nothing worked.
What actually fixed: Was deleting one character (it was a character from S21 import).
I confirm that deleting the import character fixes the freeze problem. Still disapointing that we have to figure ourselvesā¦
Nahā¦ Only for about 10 minutes, then the same problem
When PTR started, I was able to get to the character screen. I made a new dh. Then, selected the Adventure Mode. Clicked āStart Gameāā¦and well, thatās when it all happened. Not only did I get code 316610 (You or one of your party members do not have access to this content), but when I backed out, and tried again, I got code 395017 (Account transfer not available at this time).
Well, I was finally able to get back to the Start Game screen. It looked like it was going to start, but nope. Froze up solid. I have been able to get into the game ONCE. Since then, nothing. I get stuck on the load-up splash screen, and the whole thing freezes up. Initially, I thought it might be a localized issue. It is not. D3 main runs fine (both seasons and non-seasons). PTR freezes up completely.
That fact that the main game also has acted up for me since the Windows 2004 update just adds another layer of complexity to these issues. I need to replace a dll file on every game launch to get a stable performance. Otherwise I get bad frame rates and occasional mega-stutters that last 10 seconds.
Canāt load into a game on Diablo 3 PTR (live servers work fine).
After character select when I click to Start Game, after a few seconds the load screen freezes.
System requirements are met,
I have closed every other programme,
ran āscan and repairā at launcher
updated game and drivers,
checked firewall,
have followed troubleshooting and set DisplayModeRefreshRate ā59ā
from 60 at d3prefs (and d3prefsPTR)
OH. WTF !!! really !!1
Still waiting on a fix for Mac.
Sama problem - cant start Game. Copy OK, but freeze at loading. Non PTF works fine. Not change PC for years.
WIN7,
3GB usable;
4 Intel core at 3.2GHz;
GeForce GT240 - driver up tp date
And Blizzard ignores us
The problems persist. I managed to get into the game and play but my screen froze when I teleported to another ACT. After restarting the computer I could not start the game.
Are we still playing this season? 4 days have passed and the problem has not been solved. What happens?
Same issue. It just loads indefinitely. Playing from Europe on an updated Windows 10 Pro.
Core i7 7700k, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070. My video card drivers arenāt updated (Iām on 436.30). But the PTR worked fine two days ago.
It wonāt let me alt+tab either since it forces me back into the load screen. Only way to get out is to ctrl+alt+del. When i alt+tab many times I usually get an error message saying āDiablo III was unable to initialize D3D. Click OK to retry.ā Clicking OK brings me back to the load screen.
I run PTR in windowed mode, dosenāt help with the problem but at least can close it when freezes , without restarting PC ( i7-8700, 16GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce RTX 1080, Windows10)
According to some streamers deleting a character seems to help.
It didnāt work for me unfortunately.
What worries me is that some of us wonāt be able to play the game at all on the next season if they donāt find what the issue is.
Iām going to play the heck out of the current season while I still can play the game at all.
This actually fixed it for me. I tried creating a game like 10 times before by switching characters and changing to campaign mode etc. but nothing helped. I then tried deleting a character and, voila, I could start a game again after that.
Yeah I tried what you guys suggested like delete a character but stillā¦the same thing happens I can go all the way to the character selection screen but when I join or create a game it freezes on the loading screen and the only way to get out is force quit (Ctrl+Alt+Delete)
