It was version 1.15 in alpha. So it will not be 1.14 forever.
Remastered games should be just that. If the developers wanted to make sweeping paintover changes, they should have said that instead of the things they have said.
If you want optional, separate content, then by all means I hope you get it.
If they intend to add a bunch of the stuff as a replacement for the game we know though, then they should tell us so we can make a more informed decision on our purchase.

I only agree with the fact that they need to be up front and tell us their title plan for the coming years, but then again they might not know themselves until release, WC3 and all that

Yea, if mod support will be limited so that modders won’t be able to fix their ugly and censored characters and NPCs it is not worth buying at all IMO.

WE won’t have the original. This is primarily a multiplayer game, they will eventually kill the original servers (hell, theyre almost unplayable right now) and it’s a struggle to run on many people’s machines.
1 for pc and 2 for switch to play with my son.

Well VV is being moved to D4 from what Rhykker said in his video a few weeks ago. So, I doubt they are going to change much… unless there is a huge uproar from the community. I think it’s going to be a wait and see how the game is received kind of thing.
I’d say you’re worried about nothing.
First, when the game comes out Blizzard would wanna be done with it, as it’s not gonna monetize it in terms of monthly fee or cosmetics… so ongoing content is highly unlikely.
Second, even if they were to do some changes, nothing bad will come from it.
They’ll buff some underused skills and literally nothing will change, as the items are not as build defining as those in D3. HotO, Shako, Enigma will work just fine for the newly buffed skills, as they do for current meta skills…
And if they were to implement some form of endgame, similar to us being able to go though a rift, so that it’s not just Baal runs… nothing bad will happen, the game would not be worse for it…

And no, I don’t wanna turn D2 into D3 or something like that… but I wouldn’t mind a bit more monster density, larger levels and more dynamic environment to farm experience than standing in the same small room (the freaking throne room) forever…
And yes, the game would be better for it.,

I really don’t think it would add to the game in a positive way. It would also make the game a meme.

I’m not saying, that they should implement rifts (doesn’t even have to be rifts) in a manner, that would be a replacement to the entire 1.14 version of the game.
All the dedicated places to farm for runes, items, keys and so on… would still exist.
What I would like to see is like one alternative to Baal runs for exp… say something like a larger Cow level, where the mobs would grant decent exp… hell, the drop for all I care can be worse than what Baal and his minions drop…
It would make the game more enjoyable rather than staying in one small room, all day, every day for months…
