Unable to connect to battle.net (Oct 16th, 2021)

Same problem for both ps4 and ps5 clients, on EU.

Isn’t it interesting how the Blizzard customer support are responding to any PC issue forum questions but not ONE response to any of the console servers issues, and no tweet about acknowledging the issues either.

@blizzard Completely shut it down to fix it with no issues moving forward or refund our money now!

I really tired of blizzard doing this with the customer. I was expecting that the patch will fix the issue but it became worse. I dont have much time to play and every week i log i cant conect to the game on my ps5. For real i just gonna buy other game to enjoy my time and never gonna buy other game for this company again.

Servers down on xbox still some hours later. No update from blizzard as well.

Its amazing that it just make sense to a company that its customers will not be able to play for full days a game that they bought. Even in a single mode (but with online character). Its absurd. I think only gamers for some reason. “agree” with this ridiculous concept. Shame on u blizzard.

I just downloaded this and got the server issues. Then once I started trying to figure out the issue, i learned the whole game was messed up. Wow. Went to sony for a refund. What is the deal!? Very disappointed

Downloaded last night to play today on my day off and BOOM. Yup battlenet how we just love you ( not)

we did not have this connection problem yesterday or any other day. at this time.

I can’t connect to battlenet on my PS4. Keep getting error “An issue has occurred while communicating with the game servers. Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.”
I have checked everything and gone through all the steps I’ve been able to find online to fix and none have worked.

Same here. Ps5 version for crapped out of battle.net last light around 11-12 pst and I still cant connect now as I type this. Done all the recommended steps as OP. Thanks

Same here haven’t been able to connect since 8 am CEST, on either ps4 or ps5 client.

They should call for help from creators of classic and pay them how much they ask.
But here’s a problem. Both sides are too proud.

As you probably know, there have been extreme login problems for several days. I use the Xbox Series S and have not been able to log into Battle.net for hours. Now it’s just embarrassing and annoying for customers. What if you bought a new car, for example at BMW VW or whatever, and received the information afterwards that the engine does not always start and that 5th gear is not yet working. But this will surely be fixed in a later step ?? That is not possible. With you there are certainly clever number joggers in the upper rows, who calculate whether it is worthwhile to throw an unfinished, bugged game on the market early. But did they also determine a factor that takes into account the growing dissatisfaction of customers? And what effects does that have in the long term? I can hardly imagine! I would like compensation from Blizzard for unperformed services and features that I have purchased !!! Best regards Marco G.

Just FYI. Battle.net is not working for PS4/PS5/Switch. Works fine on my PC.

I hope so… Nobody seems to be responding to console players cries for help.

I’m on PS4, there are server issues…… again…. When will servers be back up for console?

Bro, I just bought the game and am just now learning about these issues. You would have thought after SC2 they could predict some of these issues.

Yeah and since the servers send information to the clients that they should be put into a queue, but since console clients lack the functionality to respond properly due to that they have not been patched yet everytime there is a queue consoles will be auto disconnected after a fixed amount of time in this case 45s since they failed to act on the servers response…
