D2 has good history of trading. Trading in d2 was always amazing part of game .it has some flaws which they should fix, not eliminate trade in any extent, thats very bad decision.
I fear that with these decisions like limited trade and loot dropping for you will d4 end up as garbage diablo title lile d3 was.
D3 might be good game, sure. I enjoyed it for some limited time, but not as diablo title.
For D2/D2R, free trade is here to stay where I can only think of 1 change that might eliminate trade for a small subset of pkayers who opted in. That would be if Blizzard introduced a SSF ladder option in D2R.
Its obvious its stay, discussion is about d4 where it seems to be quite limited. Terrible decision considering how player base love to trade in d2 and how many people hated what they did with trading in d3.
They are doing same mistake again… Not taking what is good and improving. Thats all what disblo title need. Take good core of game and build on it.
I guess they are doing: “lets make diablo title from scratch how we feel like it should be”
the number of players who would opt for SSF ladder would be so incredibly small that would not even matter.
and if you think lvl 99 is hard to reach with a party, oh boy wait 'till you’ll have to do it alone…
That is an opinion. Others do not want free trade in D4.
Personally, I would like trade in D4 to be expanded relative to D3. I like party trades and would like to see trades permitted between a small number of longterm online friends (e.g. up to 5 friends where trading would be allowed after 6 months of D4 frienship). This would allow family to trade gear when not plating together and not open the flood gates to RMT.
All classes can farm t16 efficiently. Not all specs can. But some specs are specialty like speed bounties, etc. You can make a new lvl 70 in a couple hours solo and gamble find starting gear in another hour. If you make something that doesn’t work for you, just make a different one. The actual gameplay is more fun, imo.
The large percentage damage increases are necessary because of the variation between a normal lvl 70 monster vs say a GR150 boss. And there’s a big difference between having all the gear and having full augmented min/maxed gear. You have to find it yourself. You can’t just trade for a Grief and destroy everything in the game. There’s a lot of nuance that D2 snobs don’t give it credit for.
Yeah I get that, I just mean there was a period in time where it wasn’t true. Like mid-teens seasons. Even in the more recent seasons it usually seems like only 1 or 2 specs regardless of class can DPS in groups in a given season’s meta. But maybe overall balance is better now, since I really haven’t played for 2 or so years.
Except it will be sacrifice for everyone. Its not just yours sacrifice.
It doesnt stop botting anyway as you can see in d3. So its totaly pointless sacrifice. Also very poor decision to do anything like that. You will be basicly sacrificing what is good about the game for sake of having enviroment with less cheaters.
I say no that, i am strictly about sacrificing game features to avoid dealing with cheaters.
Diablo 1.10 was full of cheaters and it was still far better game than d3 because diablo 2 had freedom what you can do. Thats immersive experience. You can pk others, you can steal items or share, you can trade, beg for free… What ever you want to do. You have many options and ways how to enjoy game, to play your role. And have a lot of freedom.
Once you start limiting options and freedom, it makes game worse.
I dont pretend to speak for anyone else but me
I leave that for those false prophets with messianic complex that always speak for the “great good of the playerbase”
So feel free to desagree
It doesnt stop cheating in any game
No problem
But dont play ignorant and recognize that the rmt and botting system in d2 is entirely based on the free trade system
I agree with brevik vision on this
Nothing but colored glasses
Its great we re talking about a game, right?
As i said
Rmt and botting harm the game much more than the absence of free trading
Not only that during Diablo III’s Beta various Item House’s were renting spot’s in the beta I talked to Buzzard about it and basically the response was cricket sound’s I even posted it on Facebook for a long time and the fanboy’s would come in and Troll
Trading is a huge part of D2R. I’m not bothered by botters because, A. I don’t buy items with real money. B I don’t use fourm gold.
Its fun enjoying the game at my own pace. I don’t give two Shi*s about how many ber/jah people have.
Trading adds a whole separate mechanic to the game. Its one of the reason I still play this game honestly. Trading is addicting.
