The current patch is an insult to the whole pvp community

+1 bump for the true og’s of PvP

Lol, its kinda incredible how clueless you are. Hardcore pk are most generaly one shot. If you have time to get stunlocked, you have time to drink a rejuv, or simply press esc and leave the game. Trash argument.

Actually, if you have time ot get host you have to instant leave XD

Cant limit people from using spirit shield and COA, absolute core items in the game, stop it.

There are no pub duelers, every game you join is the same people who are in the same discords who are the same people responding to this thread.

You don’t actually play pvp because you would see half the people in this thread in all the public games.

Also nobody in hardcore is BMing people with stun mechanics. You BM people with instant PKs like blizzard / hammers / dirty town portals. Stun is a mechanic used to catch casters, not to BM people with. If you find yourself stunned in hardcore mode the save/exit button is your best friend.

PvM people just trolling PvP players trying to fix their game is tiresome. Get a different hobby. Stun mechanics add skill to the game, otherwise it is just spamming spells aimlessly.

I knew they’d ruin it eventually because they clearly never actually played the original(LOD) game. They have nobody who actually lived through the cycle of the original. They’re clearly taking more from what came after D2 rather than what the online experience actually was at the time. I knew they’d ruin it eventually and I still gave them my money. I feel ashamed of myself. Uninstalled the game. It’s over. I’ve been dangling off Blizzard’s nuts for literally 20 years and I’m done. They’re an empty husk of what they were even 10 years ago.

I quit within a week after 2.4 release. I really tried to still enjoy it, I did. I had a whole new community of friends and was super excited to play every night with everyone… Ultimately, I noticed that because of the hit recovery changes, I was being funneled into playing the classes and builds that I did not enjoy playing in the first place. I found myself forcing the enjoyment and it was really sad. So I quit after finding something else to play and I also feel like I quit blizzard games in general.
I’ve been playing blizzard games since the first Diablo release and I’ve always loved what they brought to the table. I mostly ignored changes that I didn’t like for the sake of enjoying the game as a whole, with friends. One could call this my last straw. It’s true what they say “blizzard ruins their own games”.

This forum post popped up on my Google articles based on my interests. I’m just now finding out there’s been a new patch and I’m glad I didn’t stick around and wait in hopes for blizzard to fix their mistake.

dude team duels are so sad now.

  • 4v1 and its like, please sir just town so we can play NG. Nothing you can do to stop the last person if they choose to just keep tele.
  • Sin is dead in teams
  • Casters are less fun because you never risk dying when being aggressive
  • Melee chars are less fun because there is no block/stun animation. WW doesnt make casters block at all so they just teleport away.
  • Smite doesnt stun, casters just chuck bonespears/hammers into a smiter while being smited and win straight up lol

A sliver of FHR / listening to the community fixes this :expressionless:

Yeah I mostly played smiter and ww barb. It was challenging enough to catch a skilled player before 2.4 patch. My kill ratios with those builds basically cut down to 1/4 of what they were.

My windy and bone neck on the other hand did really well. I just don’t enjoy the play style of spray and pray (since telestomping became more dangerous with immunity frames, kinda forced me into keeping distance)

I guess I should have been more clear, I was more in line talking about the whining posts about unneeded game changes

Thwarting toxic pvpers and JSP is needed.

Hahaha

Imagine whining this hard about pvp, in a 99.99999% pve game, and thinking you are making a point.

All few dozen of you losers need to move on.

Yeah, and all those “answers” are the same posts from the same 10 people who are claiming to be “whole pvp community”

and i guess we did 7 k view just with 10 people ? But you are right about pvp not being a very big community. Its not really surprising after what blizzard did to us in 2.4… we did lose quite some people.

The market state in no ladder is another factor that doesnt help us (pvp is mainly no ladder by nature) : because there is too few items there and very little new items entering the market, the price are actually more expensive than in ladder by far. Also, most people in no ladder already got what they want so they dont sell / trade much, which make it even worse. Its actually hard to trade there to make a character with out a lot of fgs / hrs.

That should go better and better with the years and the successive ladder resets tho, if the game doesnt die out. PvP is end game content, and people arent at end game point yet for a lot of them

You’ve got 7k view by constantly reloading this page in desperate attempt to see another agreeable person that just wants to own pvp with his 30 years old build. But if you look carefully, you will see that every third answer here is from “Harg” and every fourth is from rod, zax or voodoo.

This topic need more attention. +1

Very sad to see the pvp community completely ignored after blizz destroyed it with 2.4. Fhr/stun is what made pvp interesting and unique and for all the clueless people screaming “adapt!!” well we have, but its just a lot less fun. Original d2 pvp mechanics were insanely addicting and now they have become, for lack of a better term, dogwater.

IMO the best thing for blizz to do would be to add a toggle at game creation to “Use Legacy FHR” (similar to Use Legacy Spacing) so it would be up to the users. This way both the casuals who claim to like the change as well as the 15+ year pvp vets who actually know what they are talking about would both be satisfied.

However I certainly won’t hold my breath as blizz has proven time and time they are hopelessly out of touch with what the majority of the experiened pvp community actually wants. They need to hire a dev who actually has high level pvp experience to rework some of these messed up features and impliment solutions that dont make the game worse. I would be honored to quit my current dev job and fill that position for them but sadly i dont think they really care.
